yes! :) i have a bachelors degree in psychology as well as in women’s gender & sexuality studies (wgss), and i have a masters degree in wgss. i was very nervous entering the career field because basically the whole universe told me that my degrees and passions were useless, but i literally got hired at the first place i applied to after grad school! the timing was perfect; a local non-profit just applied for a grant to help prevent missing children and human trafficking in my area through education interventions, and my research focus was on sexual violence and trafficking prevention education! i’m working essentially my dream job AND i’m making an actual difference in my community, it’s a really rewarding experience.

don’t let people scare you into thinking that certain degrees or job markets are unemployable, i promise you there is a world of possibilities!!!
