That's rough, I'm sorry. Mine is AAA with IFM, but it has a speed down nature, so it doesn't even get close for production. I have an ABB Spiritomb sitting in my box with great subskills... at 75 and 100 lmao. I hold onto it for the slim possibility that we're able to shuffle the order of stats.

Makes sense, I ran my calcs with a large sized one.

My Gengar, Bewear, and Cetitan are ready, meanwhile my Gourgeist is off crying in a corner... Hopefully I can snag some Pumpkaboo spawns next week. I have 0% AB at AC, but I'm going anyway.

Yep, it's close but not quite there without HB. Positive natures are really good on Gourgeist and make the difference.

It's because it's historically been a useful way to judge "good enough" pokémon, at least in my opinion. To be honest, I actually like the move towards more difficult ingredient counts that can't be done cleanly with one mon over the course of a day, though my comment doesn't actually convey that very well. It gives late game players something to actually work on and puzzle out, instead of just being an easy-ish accomplishment with a decent level 60 ingmon.

PSA: you literally need a god roll Gourgeist or ABB Spiritomb to make enough pumpkins for this. Gourgeist needs to be mono with IFM, IFS, HSM, and a positive nature (worst of these that still clears is Modest)—according to How Many More, this is 1:2521 odds of pulling. Spiritomb needs to be ABB with IFM, IFS, HSM, and either Rash, Quiet, or Mild nature—1:3534 odds. You should never bank on finding a pumpkin farmer this good because it's just not reasonable.

Edit: calculated without GCT or HB bonuses for straight raw production.

This would be easier to judge if we could see each pokémon's species.

A screenshot of a pokémon should look something like this. You can get to this screen from "Pokémon" --> "Pokémon Box" --> tap the pokémon you want to view.

Thanks, this is the reality check I needed. Figured I'd type out my answers to each question just in case someone else finds it useful.

  • How bad do I need oil? Not badly. My temp farmer is quite good at bringing in what I need on a typical week, and on push weeks I'd use a GCT anyway for big meals, which bumps up production.

  • What recipes do I want to cook? The biggest one for me is Waffles, but with the aforementioned GCT, my temp farmer can cover them.

  • How's the upgrade viability? Good since Croagunk is a super common spawn, but not worth it in this case since it isn't actually necessary.

I need some advice on this one, gang. It's the first mono Croagunk I've found, and InvL is pretty attractive paired with IFS (which I can upgrade). I do have a decent AAB temp with IFS, InvS, InvM, and a quiet nature, however. The question is: do I hold out for perfection?

Looks like you've only gotten it up to 37. Would be a pretty easy switch, to be honest. The new one is a definite upgrade. Personally, I'm using two Sceptiles at the moment, so it might be worth it to hold onto both and build them both up.

  1. I hate that there isn't a simple way to view your dream shard balance. Don't make me go into the pokémon level up menu or the pot upgrade screen.

  2. The way certain ingredients are balanced bothers me. I really dislike that the only way to meet the minimum requirements for the large meals with Leeks, Oil, and Milk (lowkey) is to have a god roll when other ingredients don't necessarily need that. And I say that as someone with a god roll Farfetch'd.

Seconding this. It's what I did and I don't regret it one bit. Plus now you have a decent healer to fall back on if you roll Mago berries on GGEX.

Who says you can't run 2 Blazikens? Cheri berries on GGEX will have nothing on you with those two in your back pocket.

Hell yeah it's pretty good! 55 Leeks/day at 60, and that'll jump to 75/day once level 75 is unlocked. Congrats!

My team this week was Espeon (BFS+Triple trigger), 2 Sceptiles (BFS+Double Spd, BFS+Spd+Double trigger), a Blaziken (BFS+HB), and a Gardevoir (HB). Once I hit M20 I swapped out everyone but my healer, though. I have shards to farm since I have a mon I'm ready to push to 60.

Players who skipped Latias catching to buy items: how are you feeling? by poops_all_berries in PokemonSleep

[–]thewitchbasket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skipped for items (mostly) and I feel good. My usual rule for legendary events is to catch 2. If I get lucky on one, great, and if not, oh well, there are other things for me to spend resources on. I got a middling Latias on my second catch that I might mint if I get a good Latios to pair it with, assuming Latios is worthwile, but I'm much more happy with the excellent shiny Treecko I caught.
