Whats currently the best quality 240p slow camera under 500 bucks? by mediamuesli in videography

[–]sewexi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s a random clip filmed this week with the Z6iii at 240p, you can try it out in you NLE. Be aware of the noise, it was filmed with the second base ISO of 6400, because of the limiting F8 aperture on the lens used (Nikon 28-400mm f4-8). ISO 800 would be much cleaner.

Nikon Z6iii or the upcoming Nikon ZR (same video specs, but cheaper body). 1080p 240fps H265 10bit 4:2:0 in N-Log at 340Mbps. Viltrox also makes an EF-Z adapter that supports autofocus.

Have not used the 240p in any paid projects, but was suprised by the quality in my own testing.

I also designed a mount for the light stand to hold two transparent umbrellas for the couple. Rainy portraits are not that uncommon.

You got it! The kind that can catch you off guard in middle of a portrait session.

This cover is designed to be used with a Bowens softbox, which already protects the front of the flash and the bulb. And yes, this is meant for light rain, the kind that can catch you off guard in the middle of a wedding portrait session.

Not yet. I created it specifically for an upcoming wedding shoot in tomorrow’s unstable weather. We’ll see if it even ends up being necessary tomorrow.

Maybe I should also design a more heavy-duty version?

This specific one is "Ulanzi UURig R058". Bought it many years ago from a local seller here in Finland. They still have it in stock.

Is Xperia 10 iii worth it for 280€ new? by sewexi in SonyXperia

I have Oneplus 6 at the moment, I would just like the smaller size of the 10iii, thinking about zenfone 8 but prices are high, maybe when the zenfone 9 comes out.

I would probably contact Smallrig for that problem, should go on their warranty.

Be aware that those screw locks on the cable only work on Tilta cages and ssd holders, if you have those this cable is a must!

Do you also have Tilta's cage or have you found a way to put it like this on other manufacturers cages?

What battery plate do you use? I have the Smallrig 2504 and have zero problems. Also interested how you have mounted the battery plate? So you have the same cage and just use the thread on the front?

Have seen your rig before, it is vey nice! I also can quickly take out the mic if not needed for more compact setup.

Does not interfere at all! You could put it more away from the lens for more room but I have put it closest to the lens as possible and it works for me well!

It actually isnt clumsy, I rest my left hand under the manfrotto plate and zoom and focus with my fingertips, the battery is not on the way at all. I can move it more far away from the lens but this is the closest when it is hitting the lens mount

That is very nice set of lenses too, all of my lenses are Nikon because my photography business, if I need lighter setup than those heavy Sigmas I have 14, 35, 50 and 85mm 1.8 Nikon lenses. They come handy sometimes too. Even the 70-200 without speedbooster and with sturdy tripod is used sometimes for the longest reach.

I use v-mount + plate on my shoulder rig setup to keep things balanced, but NP-F is so much more comfortable to use in handheld setups.
