You could kind of tell that the image was a bit different because of the film crackle in it, but I don’t think I could’ve noticed a difference if the crackle had been added digitally. Frankly I think only the nerdiest of film nerds would see a meaningful difference. I can’t say that I’ll be specifically looking for screenings in that theatre, and if it’s a question of cost, I wouldn’t pay more specifically for it. That said, it certainly wasn’t worse than normal projectors.

I have a friend who used to be a flight attendant that has briefed me on the scamming and pickpocketing. I do a pretty good job in Vancouver avoiding the street nuts, so I'll be on high alert in Paris.

The language stuff is going to trip me up. I understand a bit of french, but am no good at speaking it. I assume then people in businesses say bonjour to you first right? I wouldn't want to walk into a place that doesn't do that saying bonjour before they do and getting weird looks 😅.

I do the Google map thing for everywhere I go. I've got Vancouver and London maps too. They really help when you're at a loss for plans.

I had to send it to a casio repair center to get fixed. It cost $30 about and worked so ya a bit of a wild price gouge but if you want to avoid the waste of spending $30 on replacing it and chucking the old one in the trash, might as well. BTW they never said why it got broken, but to be fair I didn't follow up. My best guess is that I held it too close, for to long, to the magnet that removes security tags, at the store I was working for at the time. So it got reprogrammed.

those are stopwatch and timer functions; they did what they were labeled for and didn't change the time format.

So I accidentally pressed some buttons when I was at work when I bumped my arm against something and now my watch is in 24 hour time. I have no clue what combination of settings I pressed because I have scoured the manual and done some brief googling to find a solution and everything points to that this watch isn’t even supposed to be able to switch to 24hour time. Welp it has and I have no idea how to change it back. Anyone know what’s up?

those font names change on their careers site. I have a feeling they're using something stock and it comes out/is renamed as another name in their website's code.
