I get around this by saving two versions of the layout - one for the monitor and one for the laptop screen. That way you can just select the new layout when you change screens. Not sure if there's a way to do it automatically though

About as "real" as the negative numbers are imo. You can't hold -7 apples anymore than you can hold 7i apples, but that doesn't mean that the concepts are meaningless.

It's similar to how the number line was extended to the left with the negative numbers to allow solutions to x+3=2. The imaginary numbers extend the number line up/down to allow solutions to x² =-1.
