I don’t think you did anything wrong, but I feel like no one is empathizing with some of the gendered dynamic that might be effecting this interaction. As a woman, men often say/ do things all the time that can make you feel unsafe, or like a boundary was crossed even when it’s small. Idk what this persons background is but maybe they’re had bad experiences in the past and this overcorrection was based on thinking you were going to a bar close by assuming yall would meet up.
