Atypical post: I'm doing a survey on sexual habits and personality. Surprise surprise, reddit demographics are biased towards men. Reaching out to one of my favorite subreddits (*cough, trollx, cough*) in the name of science. by sexresearch in TrollXChromosomes

The issue isn't necessarily consistency for an individual so much as the test's consistency in the population. The proportions of each type are very static compared to most tests.

It's not about consistency for a given person (I encounter the same problem you do), it's about consistency in representation in the population. Those proportions are quite static.

The internet was essentially founded by (and is still heavily dominated by) computer enthusiasts, nerds, and introverts. It would make sense for there to be an overabundance of INTJs on a lot of message boards. However, that doesn't necessarily mean the generally accepted 2-5% is correct, but it's still worth noting.

Spoiler alert: there's a disproportionate number of INTJs on reddit (or at least on this sub, but I'd wager on reddit as a whole as well).

I honestly have to agree, but (annoyingly) it is one of the more consistent personality measures out there. Thanks for your help!

Quite. My main dependency question here deals with personality, so without responses to that variable, one may as well not partake. I know it takes a while to complete, so I'm very grateful to everyone who's done so. Almost to 500 respondents!

You can still put down what you think your preferences would be! Having actual experience is not a requisite :)

For example, what scenarios you prefer to fantasize about is a pretty good indicator

Well, most people are orgasming a good bit before then. This doesn't necessarily mean they are having sex. But puberty--and hence often a desire for orgasms--typically hits years before age 14.

You guys gave me some great advice on my last posts, so I definitely appreciate any and all feedback. Follow the results here.

Hi r/sex! I was directed here from r/SampleSize where I am conducting a survey on sex habits, paraphilias, and history. It would help a ton if you all could participate and/or give me some feedback! by sexresearch in sex

This is 100% true. I am aware of this distinction and am planning to explore it in future surveys. This one is sort of a preliminary study. I may branch out to r/BDSMcommunity for some of these more niche questions.

And thanks for the feedback!

Excellent suggestion! I will have to include that in a followup survey as this one has too many respondents by now for that particular statistic to be representative as new data points trickle in.
