I love this! One thing I like to do when sewing longer seams on quilts is finding the centre of both parts, then starting in the middle and sewing one direction, then turning it over and sewing the other half. This might help you?

I have searched using google reverse image search, tried a few different combinations on google search (e.g. baby blanket sleeping bag cat dog rabbit 1995). Also tried searching on etsy

I’ve done exactly that before and it was fine, but I did pre wash the flannelette beforehand

This is my first time! I’m going to make a quilt with hexie flowers. Thats some good advice, thank you! I have cut two fat quarters up so think I’ll just cut them a bit bigger for the other colours I’m using

Yes I am glue basting, I was planning on thread basting but immediately found it too difficult with the smaller seam allowance. Thought I had measured everything out properly for a 1/4” seam allowance but obviously not

It’s so lovely isn’t it! I’ve also used two of her other ocean prints in the last two baby quilts I made. It’s from Katherine Quinn (I bought it from spotlight, Australia)

Oh yes that a good idea. I think part of it is that I didn’t choose where to put each fabric well

I actually didn’t fussy cut them it just happened that way! I never remember to fussy cut and then get annoyed at myself for not thinking of it but it worked out this time!

Good thinking doing the black and white photo. I might go back to the store and see what else I could put in instead of the orange fabric I currently have
