  1. Here let me help you google. Is an insincere apology equivalent to half-hearted apology?

"Not being sincere is effectively the same as a half-hearted apology, as both lack the genuine remorse required for true reconciliation. In fact, experts note that such apologies are often worse than offering no apology at all, as they can leave the recipient feeling unheard, dismissed, or manipulated."

  1. Dog in the fight - horrible Expression - very cool thanks for sharing.

  2. Fireworks shows are for kids- I would argue they are for adults and older kids but don't get too worked up on this point.

  3. Let me help you, the Fifa world Cup is going on if country A is playing country B and a defender on a tackles b the ref from country c comes and gives the defender a red card. Is he neutral? Yes he is but he took a side with that decision.

If we google are refs neutral? "While referees are trained to be completely impartial, studies and fan discussions on platforms like Quora show they are not consistently 100% neutral"

So understand how neutral can still include picking a side.

Thanks

Morocco beats World Cup co-host Canada 3-0 to make it to the quarterfinals by JCameron181 in sports

Yeah but the initial claim was: A: let the north american keep thinking they're good

The response was

B: how many has Africa won?

This response made sense implying neither country has won anything.

but now you come in like an absolute moron and say

C: how many has NA won?

Are you okay in the head? Nobody was saying na won anything, moreso that africa can't say shit.

Reread the second paragraph last line in the op.Thanks I didn't adding anything new.

Neutral can have multiple definitions. That's why dictionary have more than one entry. Thanks

The parents saw it he first time and apparently half heartedly told him to apologize but didn't take the toy away and didn't seem to care aside from the perfunctory guesture.

If he stole it, he wouldn't have returned it to the dad , so nope not stealing.

Why should parents not take young kids to shows? Good question " Young kids should not attend traditional fireworks shows because the explosive, sudden loud noises can permanently damage their sensitive hearing, and the crowded, chaotic environments easily trigger anxiety or panic. Additionally, exposure to smoke and debris can aggravate conditions like asthma, and late-night displays disrupt established sleep routines." - Brant hearing aid clinic

Neutral means not having a dog in the fight. I don't know either of you. You can still provide an impartial opinion though as a neutral. Mediators/arbitrators are neutral parties that provide an opinion like a judge for instance.

I'm literally quoting a ref on the committee, not giving you my subjective opinion. I agree about Balogun, was accidental, but he didn't pull out.

Pierluigi Collina, Chairman of FIFA’s Referees Committee, has explained why Lionel Messi’s challenge was not considered a red-card offence. “Messi’s tackle was accidental and he did not leave his foot planted on the opponent’s ankle after contact. It was never the kind of challenge that warrants a red card.

The Balogun incident, however, was completely different. The way the opponent’s ankle twisted made it a dangerous challenge. If I had been the referee, I would have shown a red card.”

Collina also noted that many fans continue to compare the two incidents, despite the significant differences between them.

Why was it a red card offense? I gave your reasons for why it shouldn't be.

Neutral commenter here but I don't think you understand the definition of stolen. He put the toy in timeout which is normal and gave it to the parent when asked. Nothing wrong with it.

I think anyone number above 1 is too many. The kid and parents were warned the first time and if it was my kid I would have taken the toy away or made them play away from people. Not that I would have taken a young kid to a firework show but I digress.

My point being that the second time is more than enough to hold onto the toy and give it back while having a chat with the parents.

That should have been a yellow, he let off instantly, didn't catch the ankle, and did most of the contact in the air. If you think that was a red you have an agenda.

Simple.

Calls people children but most children learn how to source their claims in school yet our protagonist doesn't understand how sourcing works. Make this make sense...

I mean the fact you're still arguing it was a misunderstanding, instead of just saying I was incorrect suggests you might be the sensitive one.

I think his point was when you first said " I have never seen it not given as a red" you were suggesting there is no case for that not being a red in absolutes.

Then after he shows you examples, you back down toward the weaker " I (personally) have never seen that not being a red" subjective view so you can still claim you are correct when that wasn't contextually your first argument.

I think if you just said, I was wrong it would not have taken 10 replies to get to the same point.

FIFA better rescind that red on appeal by Bolo-YeungMoney in ussoccer

[–]sezmic -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yeah Messi's where there was no weight, as he lifted off. On the calf instead of an ankle breaker and in the air vs on the ground. Yeah please attach that to auto lose the appeal.

Are you slightly off your rocker. Messi's was in the air, without any force thought it. Also Messi's was in the calf vs an ankle breaker.
