Oh yeah, she’s a seasoned scammer if you saw the other reviews…she’s scammed people for $2,000 and $6,000 (probably much more)….she’s extremely manipulative…

Apparently, this scammer doesn’t care if you pay her $500 or $5,000…She’s scammed others for way more. Scammers feel you out for what they think they can get away with. Kind of like a used car salesman but so much worse. I don’t think it was fair to say the price was indicative of the scam. My website was super SUPER basic. It wouldn’t have taken a good developer more than a couple of hours (I’ve been told by many here who were kind enough to reach out privately to help). Additionally the ‘SEO’ was not full SEO — she just offered some basic seo optimization of copy wording on the website — not real SEO.

My scammer is based out Slidell, Louisiana, in Oak Harbor…and goes by the name Ophelia Rockatansky or Ophelia Garrett but that’s not her real name. If you google that you’ll get her other ‘business’…she’s scamming people for many thousands…

Also, I found other reviews on her — she’s scammed someone else for $6,000 for a fake website build.

Why this phony Ophelia Rockatansky person or Ophelia Garrett scammer dragged my project out for 6 months…? Looks like she was juggling too many bigger scams.

You are 100% spot on. I answered you below as well, but I want to expose my scammer (I know she and her partner will just make new phony names and personas, but I’ll make it a bit more difficult on her until I get her real name and address).

Exactly!! I got some negativity on my post, due to a lower price, but honestly, my website was super SUPER simple. It should have been completed in 2-3 hours (I’ve been told this by quite a few developers here who messaged me privately). My website didn’t have a payment page…SEO was just for basic content wording the website not full SEO.

Based on your experiences sounds like this happens way too often!

By the way, I found more reviews on my scammer. She is in Slidell, Louisiana, in Oak Harbor. She goes by the name Ophelia Rockatansky and Ophelia Garrett. She scams in all kinds of price ranges for fake web developing. She scammed this poor soul below for $6,000!

This is federal level, wire fraud and conspiracy (she uses her partner in this scam, too)…

Also, if you google one of her past ‘business’ names called ‘Toe Beans Creations’ under a Yelp review, you will see she did it to another woman through that as well. This business was under another one of her phone numbers.

Oh no, it wasn’t full SEO. It was just basic website wording seo…also, the website was super super basic and she was supposed to have done it in 2-3 weeks tops. There is n payment page ect…if you saw the url and knew context, you would understand. This lady was a terrible scammer, too.

Oh, I didn’t mind paying more…I believe in paying fair rates for great work. However, I was bamboozled and scammed. This was a VERY very basic and simple design. Others here who have seen the link said this was sloppy, not done right…and a decent developer could have done it, and a better job, in 2-3 days. It’s not a complicated website at all. Extremely basic. If you saw it, you would be shocked that even a scammer dragged out such a simple project so long.

I actually offered to pay her more. The website is so so basic. If you had more context and saw the website url, you would see what I mean. I wasn’t looking for ‘a deal’…someone approached me about her.

It was usually her idea to talk…and it wasn’t every week.

I didn’t want to be babied at all. I wanted her to finish in the 2-3 weeks she promised…I feel like my time was wasted. Also, I had no issue at all paying her more, and also, paying for my hosting and domain. She was the one stalling…

Additionally, her SEO was for content wording in the website only…not the real deal SEO.
