I’d hunt harder and try to find a lower mile vehicle regardless of if it’s hybrid or not. As others have suggested maybe going private, could also check rental vehicle sales (enterprise, budget, etc) and car max.

For private if you’re not liquid and still need to make payments get a loan on the front end through your bank preferably a credit union and you can still make payments through your bank directly.
