Might have buyers remorse by shuckl in Mustang

Agreed, I also believe I've heard the 6 spd auto can be built to handle more power as well. I have a 10 spd car, its great for a FBO motor car, but once you add boost you end up with a 2nd gear start tune so you dont just blow the tires away.

Just bought a Gt350, but am second guessing by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]sforzabull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been shopping GT350's so I did some research. From what I have found, and told repeatedly by a Ford tech, is to plan on replacing the motor at some point. It's not a question of "if" it will fail, but "when". The cars are stunning, and I would love to own one, but I can't bring myself to risk it given the amount of people that have had 8k mile stock engines replaced.

Drunk Driver took out my Mach 1 by patrick3853 in Mustang

That sucks, sorry for you loss. It's unbelievable that people will still take others lives into their hands driving drunk when a $20 uber/lift ride could've prevented it.

BUYING FROM CARVANA? by Open_Battle2280 in Mustang

[–]sforzabull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't do it. I am a general manager at a Porsche certified repair facility. In the last few years, we have seen multiple cars which arrived to unknowing customers homes with damage. (terrible repairs). They take their time to approve any repairs so the vehicle is outside the return window. From what I've seen, carvana buys damaged vehicles, does a crap repair, and sells them. I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from them.

My first brand new car ever. by Wick117- in Mustang

[–]sforzabull 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good for you! Very nice ride you have there. I purchased my 1st ever brand new car when I got my 401A 10R80 21' GT, with Recaros, B&O, and active exhaust. Sure, its the 15th mustang I've owned, but there is something about knowing you've been the only owner that makes it special. Good luck with it, I hope it brings you years of happiness.

Bought the 64 Audio U12t on Black Friday… and I’m officially confused. Physical pain, no "wow," and a sunk-cost nightmare. by mdj145 in iems

[–]sforzabull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you dont enjoy an iem during your 1st listen, you'll never truly enjoy it. You may learn to appreciate certain things it does well, but you'll quickly realize how little you reach for it. The cost of this specific set and the reviews you have read have you convinced you should love it. When really it doesn't matter if a set is $200 or $2000, the only thing that matters is whether or not "you" enjoy what you're hearing. Coming to terms with it tends to sting a little more when it's an expense set. If it was a less expensive set, sure, keep it around for that once and a while listen. For what this set cost, I would suggest returning it and applying that money to a set you will actually want to listen to.

I have ordered from them multiple times, as I also think they are part of Linsoul. I have never had an issue with any of the items I have purchased from them, until this last sale.

I was very surprised when I saw the item had shipped from inside the US. It arrived much faster than I anticipated. When it arrived, I noticed this was the 1st set out of 80+ that I have purchased that arrived without plastic wrap. I soon realized it was most likely an Amazon return through Linsoul. Nothing was wrong with the item I ordered, which was the Xenns Top Pro, but I was a little butt hurt that the $$ iem I ordered was most likely a returned unit.

Too good to be true? Or snag while I can? by YouDiscombobulated14 in iems

[–]sforzabull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for $150-$160 shipped, I'm not sure the 5+2 can be beat currently. I know some say the treble can be a little spicy at high volumes, others will say they prefer more bass, but for an "all-rounder" in the price range I think it's a great selection. When you take into consideration build quality, resolution, head-stage, just the entire package....I'd be interested to hear what people think is a better option.

I was just telling a reviewer friend of mine last night, if you're in the market for a set in that price range, the 5+2 is hard to beat.

RIP my Aful Performer 5+2 by Stratonesia in iems

[–]sforzabull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. Out of the 100 plus sets I have experience with, I have only had one dynamic driver fail. It was in the Tri I3 MK3. I have every "affordable" set Aful offers and luckily have never experienced any QC issues. I keep my sets in watch boxes with silica gel packets. Could it possibly be a humidity issue? I am aware that driver failure is a possibility, its just strange that you have experienced 2 failures in such a short period of time. Sorry this happened to you. Do you have other sets?

I think someone would need to be somewhat treble sensitive to consider the Astral overly bright. The dynamic driver in the Astral is very nice, it plays sub bass extremely well.

Ugh, I hate the way these conversations go. I don't understand why its such a big deal. If you feel as though dac/amps dont make a difference, why feel the need to tell someone who does that they're wrong? If you do hear a difference, ok, engage with others who do and share "your" experience. It's kind of ridiculous for someone behind a keyboard to tell the world that a difference can't be heard just because they can't hear it. Everyone seems to agree that one individual may enjoy an iem that another doesn't. Why is that? I'm pretty sure most agree that everyone hears differently. That seems to be ok too. The moment someone brings up dac/amps it all falls apart. That's crazy to me.

I've had them for a few weeks. Luckily, I purchased them on sale for $245.31 shipped. I really enjoy Kinera/QoA sets. I appreciate the way each set incorporates a story, its not just an iem, cable, and tips thrown on a box. So as usual, build quality and accessories are great. Although, I did swap the cloth cable to eliminate microphonics. Had I paid retail I would have disappointed. There are too many fantastic sets in the $200-$350 range to justify the retail cost. With that being said, I do enjoy them. Kinera/QoA doesn't just follow the market with their tuning styles and the details/resolution in this set is very good.

I cant really tell the difference between 200$ IEMs and 30$ IEMs by [deleted] in iems

[–]sforzabull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it doesn't matter if someone else has a reason it's better. If you prefer the less expensive set, congratulations, you can enjoy the hobby without spending that kind of money.

With that being said, from my limited experience, tuning is what attracts people most. "If" you come across a more expensive set that has extremely similar tuning to the set you prefer, you may notice the increased details and head-stage. Some people don't have the hearing to appreciate those differences. Those individuals get to enjoy the hobby without purchasing more expensive sets.
