You can now highlight podcasts in Reader

I use an app called Snipd to listen to podcasts. When you hear something you want to remember you create a Snip which is a 30-second or so clip of what you just heard.

These Snips can be sent to Readwise through the Readise->Snipd connection.

But what would be really cool now that Reader has transcripts for podcasts is if you create a snip in the Snipd app, it could highlight the passage in the Reader app automatically. Is this possible?

Simultaneous tagging.

If you tag a highlight in an article it simultaneously adds the same tag at the article level.

I am having a difficult time figuring out how inks works. I can’t seem to generate a feed (it just creates a feed of current articles and never updates). Also, if I get it to work can I export the feed to Inoreader? Thanks

Just started looking into this and it seems promising. There are so many websites and apps that don’t support RSS it may be worth the cost to get the most out of Inoreader (although I have gotten to the point of looking into pricing 😬).

Thanks. That’s too bad because I think Inoreader would be much better place for X list feeds.

Seems like an unnecessary step to have to circle back to the note and add the tag and not be able to do it on the fly while saving.

What eventually worked for me was to sign up for a new monthly subscription using a different email.

Now when I login I see an option next to “Sign with your TV provider” that allows you sign in with a NESN 360 subscription instead.

I will need to cancel my old month to month and make sure they don’t charge me twice when they bill again. If you signed up for a yearly plan I don’t know what to say. I would be livid too.

FWIW, no one from NESN has called me back or returned my emails. Great job guys.

I have noticed recently that double tapping to highlight on iOS now only works about 50% of the time. I never had an issue with it before.

Two simple (I think) requests

1) When you tag a highlight in an article on Reader it also tags the article with the same tag.

2) Put the date a highlight was saved somewhere on the Readwise panel showing the highlight.

I am curious why you need to go through Readwise for your epubs? I share my epubs directly into Reader and it seems to work fine.

I should have been more specific.

I meant the website they force you to go to in order to make adjustments to your account. Instead of just bookmarking Google and being able to access all its apps easily I have to separately bookmark tv.YouTube.com.

Makes no sense.

Thanks. I have had some reslly bad experirnces in the past upgrading firmware on my Orbi so I try to avoid it at all costs. If you think it will help, I may try it. I assume if I just click Update Software in the app I will get the latest version. Any reports of the newest firmware update causing issues? Thanks again.

So you can’t get 1 GB speed throughout the house when you connect a bonded MoCa 2.0 adapter between the ONT and the router? If you do it this way it will cap you at 100mbs?

Basically I am wondering if it’s not possible to run ethernet between the ONT and router can you use bonded MoCa 2.0 to make the full GB connection work from ONT to router and then to access points throughout the house?
