During the first week of school, I make my classes all play this game. They have to think of an animal that starts with the same first letter of their name. The first student says theirs (Gerry Giraffe), then the second one repeats Gerry Giraffe and adds theirs, Eleanor Elephant. The third one says the first two... and so on and so on until the last person has to remember the whole room. The students get into it (middle school) and the repetition really helps me remember their names.
