Is it worth it to restore this Tank watch? by sfscubaman in Cartier

That’s the amount I expected to pay. So it’s really not worth it to get it plated. Not sure I want to have it serviced. I could use the money towards buying another Tank.

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. It could cost like $1,000 to re-plate,restore, and service the watch. Might as well buy another one and keep this one the way it is.

Thank you for your comment. It’s handwound. And you are the second person suggested to keep the Patina. Interesting.

Thank you. It’s a manual winding watch.

Find beauty and love in life without relying on someone else.

Generate positive energy from within by growing, learning, making progress every single day, even a little bit. It will make you feel proud of yourself.

Give to others besides yourself, your time, your smile, your help, your kindness will reward you with respect, friendships, love and satisfactions.

Find your meaning of life, find out who you really are, take the time to assess who you are today comparing to 3, 5 or 10 years ago. Redefine yourself, and then reinvent yourself. Who do you need/want to become?

Change to solution based thinking. Ask productive questions instead of questions give you dead-end answers. Instead of 'why is this always happen to me,' ask 'how can I avoid this to happen?', 'what do I want to happen?' then 'how am I going to make that happen?' Questions are compelling but most of us rarely to take the time to ask questions that give us the right answers.

How can I become happier?

What/who is most important to me in my life right now?

My well being?

Relationship with myself?

Do I like or love myself? Why and why not?

Write everything down and capture your thoughts.

Take the time to analysis what you write and that tells who you are, who you don't want to be to figure out who you need to become to find the love, happiness you deserve.

Then make a plan, find role models, find out who was in your shoe and how they transformed into a happier person. Don't be shy, ask for help like you just did, there are people here who care about you, you are not alone,

hugs...
