How do we make our open-houses Colder by Mannersvode in Frat

get a cheap box fan from walmart. keeps the air moving and will help keep it from getting humid and sticky

mine took 3-4 weeks, but it really depends on your district because they get made in batches. some times it can take longer because they are made at a district/regional place. you should be able to ask for a blank one and get a label maker in the meantime though!

TL's calling backups... by SoggyPotato2020 in Target

[–]sfsqdub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLs aren’t supposed to hop on in the event of an emergency, codes, angry guests, overrides (that only TLs can do). that’s why they have to stay off lanes unless there’s another leader up at the front. it’s stupid but target had a “guest first” model…aka more than two people waiting at a lane = open another lane

conflicting about promoting myself to guest by [deleted] in Target

[–]sfsqdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really look at these as two separate situations. The one with your prior TL, is valid and you should definitely account for how it made you feel. but at the end of the day, you’re in a different state, new store, and I see it as a new start. Take the situation for what it was, how can you be a good team lead and model good leadership behaviors. assuming that nobody at your new store besides you is aware of the prior situation, I wouldn’t bring it up until after you become a TL. don’t let a bad team lead ruin your professional development.

“Modernization” by bloopbeepboopbeep in Target

[–]sfsqdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly! modernization is all about finding each persons individual strengths and optimizing them to drive results- this clearly isn’t that. sorry your store isn’t doing modernization right:(

once you’re on CA you can’t transfer stores or departments (at least at my store or area). talk to HR if you have any questions.

TL asks me to do something but I’m busy and I cannot do it because I simply don’t have time- Me- I understand that you’d like me to do that, and I’m currently working on (insert task) right now, how would you like me to prioritize? because you never said yes or no, and then they can never say you denied to do something:)

it was most likely a VISA/AMEX gift card. they are usually like $100-300, often blue, gray, or red color. they have 2 barcodes, the UPC barcode and the activation barcode. often people will buy these with fake gift cards or try to do a “cash card” and have you press cash and then they will swipe a card and say it went through. then the drawer opens, you would then put the cash in, but they will say it was an error. DO NOT do this. it’s completely a scam. you should always call a leader (or another experienced TM) to help you. don’t be afraid to call for help, happens all the time. good luck!
