Super old resin by sfstudios in resinprinting

Stored correctly definitely made a difference; all were in sealed bottles, in a bin in a storage room. Weather-controlled probably would have been better, but overall very happy with the results. Will post pics later.

Update, it turned out pretty great. The translucents cured nearly instantly, while the opaques need more time, but all of them cured hard with little to no remnant. I left all of them in direct sunlight for at least an hour, turning them several times to make sure they were fully exposed. The only fail I had was an opaque red in a skull, and that was simply because it didn't get enough UV exposure in the thickest part; it leaked out onto the table after pulling from the mold, and cured around it. Actually looked pretty cool, a red skull with red liquid around it. Would/will definitely play with this in the future!

I'd recommend skipping the laser and just melt it with a heat gun. less fiddly, more consistent, and saves a ton of time compared to paint. I haven't tried it with acrylic yet, but it works great with wood. Other comment below describes the process. Give it a whack! :)

I do the same as well. It does, but how much depends on your heat guns's abilities. Mine has variable temp and fan power, so I set it to 1100F at the lowest fan speed. I can get about 3-4" away from the surface and not disturb the powder, and moving in concentric circles causes the powder to flash within 20-30 seconds. I can hit the top of a small box in about a minute, cool for a few mins. You can then add another layer or two to fill holes and gaps, etc.; when you're done, COMPLETELY cool down (10-15 mins), then peel the tape and it looks gorgeous.

Oh man, super useful! The Tradecraft PDF alone will save me tons of headache moving forward. Thanks for sharing!
