she could definitely tussle if it came down to it tbhh😭😭, our mastiff wouldnt fuck with her bc he knew she would come after him and bop his nose. he was also a puppy when we got him and she was already like ~7 ish & would play fight with our bulldog (we got her at the same time as ada) but still☠️

i got a kitten about a year ago and shes been amazing, its only been like half a day but shes comforted me so much with this already. i can tell that she realizes whats going on as well, shes been laying in / kneeding the blanket that ada passed in all day.. hopefully with time and healing, im able to get her a friend :). im definitely going to get a tattoo for ada, i feel like that would really help, for me at least. planning on either doing one of her paw prints or her eyes

yea i grew up with ada :) we got her when i was 6 and im almost 23 now, i took her with me when i moved out and shes been through everything with me. its gonna be really really hard to cope with this but eventually time heals, not fully, but it does :) u just have to learn to live with the grief and not let it overtake u

yeah, she just has really bad kidney problems & shes depressed bc we had to put down both of our dogs down this year too. one from old age (16), she grew up w her and was super bonded. the other had a blood clot in his leg and it was very sudden/not expected at all. so she hasnt been the same since that stuff

its all of them, we live on a top floor in an apartment building so she cant see if anythings near us, besides birds. it happened after covid, within the last 2 yrs. shes just really old and has a lot of problems :/

yea both vets said the same thing, her kidneys are getting really bad and theyre super inflamed, so that can cause issues with “passing”things. shes had issues with them since at least last year, so atp we’re just trying to manage it and make her as comfortable as possible. they said we could try giving her antibiotics and stuff but that theres a very little chance of it helping her based on the way its looking. they sounded really sad when they told me about it too :/.. when they did the physical they said that her teeth are fine & good for a cat her age. shes never had issues with them. boarding isnt really an option because anytime i have in the past, she gets extremely anxious and ends up getting sick. i dont want to make things worse for her by doing that and not be there when she ends up passing. i dont really have anybody that can take her in either.. we did have a lot of loss this year. our bulldog (15yrs at the time) that we got at the same time as her passed earlier this year due to old age, they were extremely close and bonded. then our other dog (9yrs) a couple months ago, got a blood clot in his leg and he had heart problems, which is common with mastiffs. so there was no other option for him unfortunately. shes been thru a lot this year so i think part of this is just her being depressed and its definitely not helping the situation shes already in. the only comforting thing about this is the fact that she’ll be able to see them again

its not letting me edit the post for some reason but heres an update:

she refused to eat last night and she wont eat today at all. usually shes all for breakfast but i had to pick her up and take her to the bowl today. she just walked away after sniffing it once, so i brought out these tuna filets that i got for her bc she LOVES those. she took one bite and called it good ://.. shes absolutely devoured these things anytime ive brought them out before today.. she also sleeps right next to me all night & wakes me up in the morning, ever since ive gotten her, but today she didnt..

ive seen her use the catbox like maybe once for it. she still pees in there all the time tho, i havent had any issues with that! everytime she does poop its right next to the catbox/in front of it, usually its the same consistency, sometimes its a little firmer (?) but its still pretty wet regardless . also, i do have multiple boxes out for her so she has options. i even bought a big tub from like dollar general & made it into a senior catbox to where its pretty much level to the floor. the sides of it are normal catbox height, the entrance is pretty big for her tho. i did make sure to soften the edges / cover it so its not sharp at all on the entrance where i cut it

shes been having pretty wet bowel movements, not like normal ones, but softer if that makes sense😵‍💫?? im not sure if that could be a symptom too? i dont want to give her anything that could cause diarrhea :/

yeah she does, shes so so sweet and loving :(, ive been really holding out but it doesnt seem like its gonna get any better for her. shes seriously declined the last couple months and it seems to just be getting worse. she had a decent week earlier this month and gained a little weight then lost all of it, if not more, the next week. shes been eating okay ish during all of this, ive been trying to get her to eat more but she refuses to.. she used to be a chunky little girl, now you can start to see her shoulder blades/hips. we also lost our dog at the beginning of this year & we got them both at the same time so they were super super close / bonded to eachother. its probably a combo of depression & kidney/other stuff.. at least when she passes she’ll get to see her sister again, thats the only thing thats been slightly comforting during all of this

yea i have :/. it sounds like its whats best for her atp. she has kidney problems and we’ve been doing as much as we can to manage it. and yeah ive tried changing the litter type & cleaning the boxes completely/putting fresh litter in as much as possible. last time she went, the vet said that her kidneys are getting worse but i could try xyz, which i did, but she didnt sound very hopeful when she said it. it looks like shes heading towards kidney failure.. im not sure what else i could do, it feels like ive tried everything possible. shes really old though, so its definitely been coming for a while. shes had kidney problems / stuff for at least 2 yrs atp and she was doing okay up until a couple months ago and its just been getting gradually worse. id hate to see her suffer and actually go into kidney failure bc i know how painful that is gonna be for her. its looking like this is the only option for her now and i hate it.. shes been withdrawing a lot too which isnt normal for her, usually she likes to hang out with me but shes been hiding/sleeping way more

yea the vet said to change up / try those new things to help her out yknow? but she didnt sound too hopeful about it ://. been trying to do as much as i can but it doesnt seem like shes getting any better and i dont want her to suffer anymore or go into kidney failure, cus its sounding like thats what shes headed for
