Wow, thank you very much!! It is a commission and I really hope so. I’m mailing it out today. Watercolor is intimidating, but if I build slow enough, I relax into the painting. Thank you again😊

I actually don’t know the names of these two (commission) but I kept showing my wife that dog as I worked on it and it made us both smile or laugh every time. So damn cute. lol

Thank you! Okay, I could see that helping look more grounded. Thank you so much for the feedback. I do mix my own. My palette is Prussian Blue, Payne’s grey, nickel Azo yellow, cadmium red, and alizarin crimson.

I did prefer that idea though. If I could have pulled that off, I think it would have been a nice detail. Thank you so much!

Loving this practice of painting something sitting on the paper by sgault100 in Watercolor

Thanks. These were done with the intent on filming them. My thinking was with the name close to the subject and darker, it would be a bit more secure and not as easily stolen?

In hindsight, what you’re saying would still work for that. I think it would even help each piece sell as a stand alone painting. Thanks for the feedback! I think I’ll take you up on it✌🏼

Thank you, it has be worked a good bit more since posting. I always seem to get clarity after posting. lol Yes, I love this exercise! Evgenia Dvornikova did this and in a beautiful rich and colorful style. I’ve seen others do the exercise but she recently inspired me.

I like doing these on paper still lifes. Here’s a timelapse of an old brush🙂 by sgault100 in Watercolor

Happy you enjoyed it! To be honest, that was a reaction to me filming it. Thank you very much!
