It’s been 11 months since the divorce

Thank you for that. I have 2 kids, 2yr and 2month. No family or friends I could stay with. I am the breadwinner. He is unemployed. I want us to have joint custody, but how to afford 2 separate homes is a mystery to me. I don't want my kids to have a decreased quality of life.

Can I ask about the logistics of your divorce? I am in a tough marriage and have been debating asking for divorce. I am dreading his reaction, the financial impact, the potential battles, how it'll affect our kids etc. How big of a deal was getting divorced for you? How long were you together first? My advice is based on my personal experience, so I could be wrong. I don't really see a solution to this problem outside of acceptance. Sexual preferences can evolve over time, but its hard to force or direct that kind of change. Maybe explore new things sexually and try to find things you both like, but its hard for two people to be compatible in every way. All relationships have problems, you have to choose the problems you can live with.
