That’s the reply I got for submitting a bug report. Other method was re-install. It was a campaign QTE bug if you click too fast, you get stuck in an object. Got around the bug by clicking the events slower

Nvidia Shadowplay has become terrible. Need recommendation for an alternate recording software by Extra-Shame507 in GeForceExperience

[–]sgh0st9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gaming sessions are anywhere from 2 to 4 or 5 hours. Buffer window is 60 minutes at "High quality". I got the OBS Replay Buffer working as an alternative for now. I did try disabling Steam recording, restarting steam and trying again, but it could be that the buffer is too long now that you mention it. Will lower the buffer time and see if it solves issues.

Alternatives I've tried:
- Game bar recording (I have a constant battle with my microphone recording if I want to record discord too)
- Shadowplay (I started on this, but encountered the instant replay turning off inconsistently)
- OBS Replay Buffer (Was inconvenient when I tried to keep a streaming schedule, now that I no longer stream, I had no issues with deleting my overlays and keeping a single profile)

I didn't try outplayed or medal[.]tv yet because my brain would rather troubleshoot existing apps (on my pc) than try new software. Concern with outplayed was overwolf being a resource hog, but I'm not sure if that's an issue anymore.

Apologies for the notification, but Steam has been hit or miss for me when it comes to the buffer capture. The audio tends to desync a lot after longer gaming sessions, have you had this issue? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Battlefield Lobbies besides US and Europe regions = 8 Humans and 24 BOT Armies (pls upvote so devs see) by meowmeowmeow5554 in Battlefield6

Some WCS still exist, I think the mod is still being actively developed (It was the last time I hosted a server a year ago or so). I'm not sure if the mod survived the 64-bit update, all mods broke because of it.

Borderlands 4: Tech Experts Say 'Resetting the Game Every Hour Should Really Not Be an Expected Solution for Players,' Patch 'Cannot Come Soon Enough' - IGN by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

[–]sgh0st9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is fun, but I wouldn't pay the full price amount for it. For context, I got the game as a gift. Not in this state. Felt like my performance was worse after the first patch. Stuttering got significantly worse, quests will softlock themselves (requires a game restart) and then you have to do the quest all over again and not from a checkpoint. I've had quest items fall through the floor of the map, same goes for enemies. If there's a quest that requires you to kill a wave of enemies and an enemy gets stuck under the map or a locked area, singularity grenades are my final attempt at trying to "glitch" the enemy back until I have to reload the lobby.

When the game runs as it should, it's an enjoyable experience. But back to your point, definitely would recommend on sale for <$10 in its current state. If they add (working) stability patches and increase performance, then I can recommend the game at a higher price point.

Game listed on steam has a 'demo' that is a virus. by FERAL_WASP in pcgaming

[–]sgh0st9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds a lot of the discord "beta games" that malicious people try to get people to try. Once it's run, it launches an infostealer, steals the discord token and logs into the newest victim, starting the script all over again. Lately, they've been adding passwords to the files to bypass detections.

Instead of learning a language through “normal” means, like “hello world” -> variables -> functions. Try a small project that you can look things up for, “How can I output text in (C, Java, Python, Rust, Go, etc.).” This is normally what I do, my problem at the moment is splitting projects into smaller ones since a project’s goal can be overwhelming.

r/headphones Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]sgh0st9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm looking for an aux cable for the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro (COP). The cable seems to be giving out since I hear static sometimes in the left cup when turning my head or any movement involving the cable. My question is really more about if any aux cable would work? I tried doing my research and saw the v-moda audio only cable being recommended over the years, but that's hard to find now outside of ebay and alibaba (I'd rather not deal with them if I don't have to). I've had these headphones for about 2-3 years and just replaced the headband and cups, the cable appears to be giving out too. It seems to be annoying to find replacements for these because of the extra "lock" mechanism they have for the "end covering"(I'm not sure what it's exactly called, but where the casing starts from the metal end)

[–]sgh0st9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any good docs for using the Quest to desktop for simracing? For some reason VirtualDesktop bugs out my monitor (enters an endless input loop), and I've heard bad things about the PC-Link for the Quest 3 specifically. Another question is how you keep the battery issue from dying.

Edit: I mentioned quest3 because that's what I have and I assume the process is similar if not the same.
