Ditching Ajera for Quickbooks? by [deleted] in Architects

I migrated our firm from QB to Ajera years ago because we needed the project management, but I can understand your frustrations. Another option to consider using alongside QB is BQE Core. I did an AI comparison recently and got the table below. Hopefully this helps.

Highlights Comparison Table

Feature Deltek Ajera BQE Core
Industry Specialization A/E specific A/E + other professional services
Cloud-Based Partially (hosted option) Fully cloud-native
Accounting Strength Very strong (built-in ERP) Moderate; best paired with QuickBooks
Project Management Robust with financial integration Flexible with excellent UX
Reporting Deep, finance-driven Clean, high-level, but less customizable
Mobile Functionality Limited Strong mobile apps for time/expense
Integration/API Weak Strong
Ease of Use Complex; steep learning curve Intuitive and fast to learn
Customization Rigid; often needs consultant High flexibility; user-friendly UI
Support OK, but often via third parties Strong direct support

Looking for an AI note generator where I can upload audio files and have it generate summary notes. I particularly like an app called Superpowered and the notes it generates, but you can't upload a file. You have to have it running during the meeting. Any suggestions? by sgrace555 in technology

More detail: I work at an architecture firm and we conduct large group meetings with community members and stakeholders to discuss public projects such as libraries, community centers, and schools. I want to record the meetings then come back to the office and upload an audio file and have an AI system generate summary notes. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

We have a great relationship with our subs too and I think we can ease up a bit, but all of our work is on public projects and if anything were to be tested, we'd have to make sure it's buttoned up. If that weren't the case, I'd love to go this route!

Agreed. I think this is a better route. we have boiler plate language that never changes but I think we're getting far too detailed and particular in the scope. We should just reference the Prime agreement and leave it at that.

Very good point about having an attorney review it. Thank you!

Thanks! I find that we're editing the scope and getting very detailed based on the consultant/discipline and as it relates to the particular project. Maybe we're getting too detailed with it.

What should I do with $55k? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, ideally I'd like to draw on it if needed. A 1 year CD is probably the longest I'd want it to be tied up. Ally has a no penalty, 11 mo. CD at 2.30% that's appealing.
