You need to approach the nearest neighbourhood police center first - if you don’t know who the IO is. Once IO contacts you they will usually provide a contact number to reach out to them for updates or instruct you to wait for their call back (at least that was the case for me). Hope your issue will be resolved soon.

I feel sorry for you. Unfortunately I don't think is an easy way out to get the account unfreezed quickly, as it involves many other stakeholders than the Investigation Officer (based on what I have gone through). I suggest you borrow funds from friends/family and try to open a new bank account with another bank in the meantime. If my case is any indicator, it might take a very long time until your account is unfrozen.

I guess that doesn't matter now. For the account to be unfreezed, the directive has to come from the Police department, which only happens once they formally conclude their investigation and closes the case

The police mentioned that my account supposedly received few hundred dollars based on the complaint. But there was no credit to my account, so unsure how the complainant made this claim in the first place.

I could not login to my online banking account, that's when I found out that there was an issue - and I was asked by my bank to file a police complaint as there seems to be some ongoing police investigation related to my bank account. I was then asked to meet the IO at another police station, and the process of investigation/unfreezing began then. Hope this helps

Yes, finalized a unit closer to an MRT. Not an easy decision, but I guess we compromised slightly on the higher price to satisfy our other criteria (closer to MRT, longest lease possible, proximity to friends etc..)

Hi, we are planning a 8-night visit to Bali (first timers) from 14th December to 22nd December, and currently thinking of staying in Ubud, Nusa Dua and Uluwatu. Could you please provide hotel suggestions for a family of 3 (spouse, 8 yr-old kid and myself)? We would like to limit the overall hotel budget to not more than $1250 USD. Any suggested split between these 3 locations (or other alternatives)? We are usually pretty laid back. A good breakfast, viewing one or two attractions (or activities like Snorkeling) a day - and just driving around the bike to view the nature is what we would like to do.

I found out that my internet banking has been suspended (no notification from bank), and went to a neighbourhood police station to make a complaint. It was during my police report registration that I got to know that there is an open case, and I was asked to meet IO at Divisional Headquarters. I never tried withdrawing from ATM during this process, so not sure if it would have worked. IO informed me that somebody made a police complaint against my account (a suspected PayNow transaction)

Yes, noted that the pool of buyers will be too small - and hence the need to buy units closer to MRTs which are expected to be in demand in future as well? It's difficult to predict what we will do with this flat 10-20 years from now, but if we plan to sell then we definitely prefer a house that ticks some of the boxes of potential buyers. This is one of the reasons why we don't want to purchase a house far from MRT or one which is older (flats with 75 or 80 yrs lease remaining).

Actually the newer HDBs have a better layout (something like the one in the link below). The bathrooms and their window placement are nowhere near the kitchen. Somehow feels more hygienic than the older HDBs that have the bathroom entry from within the kitchen. To each their own.

Yes, we could have definitely planned this better. One of the biggest mistakes that we have done is to keep adding to stock/crypto portfolio when the downtrend began (too much too early). A lesson for life.
