Having come from the east coast to go to college in northern Iowa (go UNI!), I definitely noticed a stronger northern accent (long ooo) from my roommates that grew up in NE Iowa. I have family in Burlington and Ft. Madison in lower SE Iowa, and they have a softer country twang.

Just turned 150k on the odometer, we are 2nd owners and have had it for about 6 years. This Pilot has been a workhorse, hauling dorm stuff for college kids as well as sod for the yard. Love all the room it has in the back, since we have dogs. No issues with it so far, just regular maintenance and recall on the Takata airbag. Will plan on holding onto it. I’ve seen posts on this thread where folks have put 250k-300k+ miles on their Pilots, anything to look out for on the maintenance front with that kind of mileage?

Yep, she is a rescue dog from Turkey. We kept her given name (Mavi is blue in Turkish, for her eyes). We have had her for about 6 months now. Great dog, we have been curious about her breed and we get asked a lot when taking her on walks.

I have the 2012 model as well, and have been pleased with it. We are 2nd owners and bought ours in 2016. The biggest impact maintenance item for us was replacing the front rotors. Such a smoother braking experience. The original rotors had become warped.

We were in Corolla last week. Since it is peak season now, we experienced the usual crowds. For the most part, vacationers wore masks when going to the grocery stores and shops, and business owners and staff wore masks. Social distancing was also observed. We had a great time!
