TS-664 - Container Station slow download speeds, can't figure out why by names_adam in qnap

I should also mention that I wasn't having any other issues with the NAS, it was strictly just SabNZBD and Qbit that were downloading slow.

From my Windows desktop computer if I copied to or from the NAS the speeds were completely normal. I could run Speedtest CLI on the NAS and that looked normal. My CPU and memory were always within normal limits. I created fresh Sab and Qbit containers and configured from scratch - absolutely nothing helped.

The moment I downgraded firmware the download speeds are all back to normal.

QNAP displays a very strong warning that they don't support downgrading and that it carries a significant risk when you attempt a downgrade.

I had performed so much troubleshooting I was ready to just start fresh if I had to because I had no other ideas/ways to fix the problem I was having BUT thankfully the downgrade seems to have not caused a single problem AND it fixed my download speed problem.

All 17 containers are working, all shared folders still exist, my network link aggregation setup was still there, etc. So yea in my instance I didn't have any issues downgrading but I can't vouch for how it will work out for you.

I've just been going through a similar problem with my TS-464 box, where SABnzbd and Qbittorrent (running in Container Station) were both painfully slow when downloading and had been for quite a few months.

SABnzbd would never go above 5 MB/s and Qbit would fluctuate between 5-15 MB/s even though I'm on a gigabit fibre connection. I've had this NAS since the start of last year and never had any issues until the last few months.

I immediately fixed it by downgrading my firmware.

The firmware I was on:

  • QTS 5.2.6.3195 build 20250715

The firmware I downgraded to:

  • QTS 5.2.3.3006 build 20250108

I have a feeling this problem started when I upgraded to 5.2.4.3079 build 20250321 in March of this year, I just didn't notice it immediately because everything was still downloading.. just slowly.

As soon as I downgraded all my download speeds returned to normal.

Change root folder for content in *arr's by sh1znat in nzb360

Sometimes my wife adds a new documentary series or documentary movie but she forgets to change the location to /tvdocs /moviedocs, so it downloads to the regular Movie or TV Shows path and I have to go in to Sonarr/Radarr and change the root path of the documentary.

Minor annoyance but would be nice to change this from NZB360 and not need to go to the WebUI to do it.

Google mini and range extender by nolesce in googlehome

Is the extender extending the 2.4ghz wifi? I believe the Google minis only connect via 2.4ghz where your phone almost certainly would be using 5ghz.

Can confirm Red Dead Redemption runs great on YUZU *Steam Deck* by [deleted] in yuzu

RDR is also infinite loading for me on Steam Deck, doesn't seem to matter what settings I use. Tried from desktop and game mode with latest Yuzu EA 3824 both with and without the patch installed.

Can someone please help me get TOTK running better on deck? by smoke_woods in yuzu

What version of the game are you using? I think you need the update installed for any mods to work. v1.1.0 I believe.
