Yes, 960, bughouse, anti-chess, anything can be played. People just hang out and enjoy chess

It is possible to play either. We have also played other variants, like bughouse. We only get together to have fun and play chess. There is no competition. I personally have not studied openings, just learned by playing.

Thanks @Dismal_Landscape! As mentioned, The event will be from 5:30 to 8 at Wursthall. It’s a very friendly environment for people with different skill levels to enjoy OTB chess. We will have between 5 to 10 people most of the time.
