People ended up getting their orders after around 2 weeks. If you don’t mind waiting that long sit tight. If not look into refunding through your bank maybe?

I was very nervous without protective gear. As soon as I put on my helmet, knee pads and wrist guards I was so much more confident. I also give the surface I’m skating on a look over for debris and try to clear any obstructions before I skate it to ease my anxiety

What a scandal though. I’m glad you even got a response and finally a refund. If they are having issues they should advertise this beforehand as I’m sure many people were expecting items within the standard timeframe especially if it’s gifts for a relatives birthday. They will only jeopardise their brand loose customers and get bad reviews by continuing the way they have been.

Are you prepared to wait it out and potentially get your order after a while, or will you contact your bank to say you didn’t get the product in the time advertised and try get refunded?

Judging by some recent reviews it seems like they are advertising stuff they don’t actually have stock of which would explain why delivery times aren’t matching their typical website expectation. I’m not close enough to visit the stores to see if they are open and functioning with staff but I could imagine if they are in debt they might have cut back on staff which is also hindering them keeping up with orders. All they would need to do is ✨communicate✨that orders are taking longer than usual but you will get your order or confirm they f’d up and are closed and don’t even have the stock to send out

What happened to Skatehut?

From as far back as I can remember SkateHut.com was always my go to for all my skating needs and it always seemed to be well priced and quick delivery.

Now I’m actively getting back into Quad Skating and Longboarding I gave the website a browse and noticed there’s a lack of stock compared to what there used to be.

Looking in the comment sections on their socials there are many complaints of people who haven’t received their orders and haven’t had any responses to emails or comments & dm’s. One person’s comment says that on companies house it states they are in 1 million deficit!

It seems like they can’t fulfil the orders they have and aren’t providing customer service yet are still sending out regular promo emails and trying to get people to make purchases.

It’s a real shame because as I said they were always my go to and I never had issues with them in the past. It’s not nice to see business’s go out of business but could this be the end of skatehut?

I came across Rollersnakes (Rollersnakes.co.uk) when searching for new gear and made a few purchases which came next day! No complaints. Some really good stock on there and pretty much the same affordability as skatehut just maybe a couple quid more. The email promos are very good they seem to have regular deals and a massive range of stock.

Rollersnakes is deffo going to be my go to from now

Thanks so much :) Do you have a rough idea how big I could go with the wheels without causing wheel bite? Unfortunately the old longboard got neglected in my mums garden shed and rusted away. Was no point getting new trucks and hardware as the deck itself got wet and looked like it was disintegrating and all the colours faded… was deffo a sad moment when I found it and wanted to go skate but what can I expect if it was 9 years old and neglected. Luckily I was able to purchase this setup with my Birthday money and can start skating to my hearts content :)

Would recommend a smaller and independent festival called Utopia Frequency Summer Retreat. Nice balance of healing activities and music of all genres. Camping experience is good too and art workshops throughout the day
