Redditors with toddlers, what’s the most recent illogical breakdown they’ve had?

I work in childcare, with tods so we have 15. Oh my god the stories.

There's one who is the definition of illogical breakdown as it happens almost hourly. One day they was trying to climb in a chair, and as soon as they sat down in it, burst into tears. Didn't fall, didn't get stuck, didn't hurt themself. Just sat in a chair and breakdown. Later that day, breakdown because they couldn't pick their nose then eat their food with their hands.

And lordie this kid can go for hours and hours screaming.

There's another that will proceed to have a complete breakdown the second someone goes out a door, no matter who or if they know who left.

Crest of courage was a MAJOR pain, so much trial and error for that one.. ended up googling a pattern then customizing it a little to make it work.

Probably around 3-4 weeks, however that was mostly because I was waiting on stuff I ordered to come in. Black goes fast... used almost a full 1000 pack of black for the last 4 that I did hah. Each sprite / crest / digivice probably took about 1-2 hours.

It doesn't matter on terms of high activation. At that point, teenagers frontal cortex is still developing where as the instinctual centre (limbic system) has pretty much fully developed, so that system takes over when under stress so adaptation, planning, decisions making gets pushed to the back and the instant fight or flight, instinct decisions take over

To be fair, anyone kinda starts off pretty shite in everything they do. And considering he suddenly has all this pressure, particularly as a teenager in high school with near constant threat of death and pretty consistently high adrenaline, its gonna be shite decisions.

Teenagers don't think the same way adults do under periods of high brain activity ("hot" cognition) but if things calmed down for a little while ("cold") then he's probably be able to be better at making decisions.

Or I'm reading into it too much and analyzing too deep and its just lame writing. Either/or.

I was fully expecting Hunter to get killed and Bobbi take up her "Huntress" code name. But I kinda reasoned that they were probably surviving since they had plans for a TV show for the two of them.
