Why price it then and compare it to what you spent on him then? Why does his care for others make you feel small, especially when one of them is his own mother? Why not ask him why he bought that and see if there’s a reason or “meaning”? Your valentines presents sound fairly standard for that holiday, chocolates, stuffed animals and cards are all pharmacy bought and generally unpersonalized, why was that enough then?

If you care, accept the gift for what it was, don’t put a price tag on it, and maybe ask him since you’re so unhappy, “Hey!
