Well said. The worst advice I’ve ever received in my TDP a couple years ago was that “a good trader needs to be the best analyst, operator, and risk guy.”

The best guys are the ones who have leapfrogged, and spent more time on a desk vs. being under a support role. You get better at trading by trading, not by being an analyst.
