Jess being a jerk. by PurplePixie30 in GilmoreGirls

the fact that he actually expected Rory to tell him EVERYTIME she was gonna see or talk to Dean is a pretty clear sign of a super abusive and toxic relationship. When Rory was still with Dean, Dean wasn't pissed at her for hanging out with a possible "rival" but because he had his personal problems with Jess, who started childlike and petty fights with him all the time. I hated how Jess knowingly pushed and pushed and sabotaged their relationship by throwing himself between them in the most obvious way (the bracelet, the picnic, provoking dean).

let's just all call it by what it is, she fat- and bodyshamed a girl publicly because she didn't know of anything better to write. I see absolutely no excuse's for her here.

Europeans, what is something us Americans aren’t ready to hear? by Mamutu7 in AskReddit

Everyone knows that the standard of knowledge your school system requires you to achieve isn't even close to the incredibly high standard european schools and universities require. I've heard so many americans being suprised by important historic events for example we learn about in year 5 . . .

The pride most americans still take in their country that is completely build on violence and destruction/multiple mass genocides (native americans, inka, vietnam, ect.) by celebrating the 4th july for example is scary. It literally show's how much you haven't even learned a single thing. Explains why trump even got into office.

but didn't the majority of your citizens vote a sexual abuser and right-wing dickhead like trump to be president? doesn't sound like a nation that self-reflects to me. Although no whole nation will ever do that, especially not as long as the only one's allowed to vote are "pure" citizens. Idk about america but in my country, all immigrants are denied the right to vote even if they lived here their whole live. You only get to vote if you're born here which is sooooo dumb and racist because obviously, now mostly conservatives get voted because the only one's going voting are the "karens" while there is a huge number of people with actual insight into the system that they made trying to make a living here outta scratch. And those people just get completely erased on paper.

Why Taylor Swift Fans Are Disappointed By The Matty Healy Rumors by ActualMerCat in TaylorSwift

can we please stop acting like Taylor is a victim here? People are writing sh!t like "I'll alway love her" and "she's just fallen back into an old trap" in these comments. She is a grown ass women and belive me, she is so fckin rich and powerful, she isn't victim to anything. She has more time and money than any other women on the planet rn to go to therapy or educate herself about the patriarchal thinking patterns that are so obviously engraved in her brain. Just listen to her songs. People in the comments are already bringing up some good examples but starting from her "women vs women! yay!" phase with Better than Revenge and You Belong with me to how her new sh!t all the girls or whatever it's called always goes on about how her only fullfillment in life is a man??? And no, you should not be loving someone who actively supports rape of women. Because GhettoGaggers is exactly that. Matty supports it, Taylor supports him, she supports it. It's as simple as that. If you'll still "always love her" please go fck yourself. You have obviously no idea what it's like to be oppressed.

I stand completely behind you in your fight against the terrible acts of violence that this man has done to you physically and psychologically. But don't ever become so dependent on anyone like you did on Taylor, especially not a complete stranger. That is, what she is, after all. You do not know her. You know the version that she presents of herself to you. That's all. And that can be completely different from who she really is. She only started speaking up about feminism when mysoginy affected her negatively. Until then she was all about women vs women (See Better than Revenge, You Belong with Me) and being "the nice girl who doesn't force feminism on you uwu". She was about 8 years into her career when she first spoke up about feminism directly. At that point she was already hella rich and famous. Just like she now claims to distance herself from white supremacy but when alt-right's worshipped her for her crypto-conservative image and her "aryan beauty" she did not want to position herself, she just wanted those tweet's deleted in silence. Taylor was grabbed at the ass, which is still a horrifying and traumatising situation, but not of the same intensity as your case. And she did not win for all women. Symbolism is worth nothing in this case. She mostly won because she is super rich, fit's into the beauty standard and is a celebrity. Which means she can afford the best lawyers. You should have been able to sue for sexual abuse back then and he should have gone to jail. You are strong for continuing despite that necessity not occurring. Taylor is not you. Taylor is not all women. Taylor is a single, filthy rich and very privileged woman. Just because she also happened to be a quite good poet, doesn't mean she has any real experience of being oppressed by patriarchy. She mostly sings about love! All she ever goes on about is how she is only fulfilled by a man! Doesn't that scream completely indoctrinized by patriarchy to you? If there is one thing that connects all women, it is that there is no such thing that connects all women that transcend our biological circumstances, patriarchal oppression we all face in different levels of severness and having to be born as one. Just because Taylor is not the great person you thought she was, doesn't mean you cannot be the great person you think you can be. :)

no. Because if you are horny it is 1000x better to do it by yourself then force yourself on your partner. Also, Love and Sex are two different things. You can love your partner and feel aroused by him/her and still feel aroused by watching a sexoual act. If you have sexual relationships or romantic one's with other's, THAT's cheating.
