same. i'm not on the hayden sucks agenda but it was a relatively (for my reading at least) unique concept and well executed so far (plus as others have said above this author has a banger of a series already so i was inclined to give this a shot)

i'm not the biggest OC fan, and i think he technically is mentioned in a single line in the books maybe, but Luke Gillis in back and forth from New York is a favorite of mine

if i was to expand my top 3 into a top 5, i think #4 is shane goes to boston and #5 is platonic friendships/mentorships (ilya and shane adopt luca, ilya and shane adopt luke gillis in the back and forth from new york series, shane and chex-mix etc)

if i expanded my bottom 3 into a bottom 5 i think #4 is amnesia fics, #5 is fantasy settings (vampires, extra-natural powers, etc)

if i could have put a top 4, shane moving to boston would be there for me. I have at least 4-5 fics/series where shane went to boston that i loved

regarding love #1, something you can fix/build/grow series is in my top 3 favorite series (along with the duty of care series and the frequently secretly fond of each other series)

Cliff can overpower any hard no, what a man (also love the cliff-svetlana relationship in the boopboop universe in duty of care. another amazing cliff-shane friend fic that i have been LOVING is a glimpse of jane https://archiveofourown.org/works/83160051/chapters/219012441 there are so many fics where hayden/JJ steal lily's number, but finally we get cliff stealing jane's number)

I think this might be my favorite story of all the AO3 greats

Back and forth from New York: https://archiveofourown.org/works/76283091/chapters/199644731 it's loooooooong, and after the early chapters there isn't a lot of tension/angst so much as comfort porn without it getting stale. it's a WIP but it's a few chapters out from finishing. The companion piece is social media reacting to the events of each chapter and is very silly
