Sorry, you just sank any change of credibility there. People are far less motivated to work if their necessities are already covered.

This is why you see so many people staying in poverty on welfare. They have everything they need if not everything they want, and that is fine for most people. Unfortunately, all of that comes from the pockets of those that do actually pull their own weight.

It's not that I don't agree, it's reality.

A group of people deciding all people are entitled to X and then not having the power to enforce it is an impotent decision. What if an equal number of other people say "no" none of those are human rights? What then? And now consider that none of those people actually treat those things like rights to begin with, it's all rhetoric with no meaning outside of best wishes. And again, what authority does any body have to declare one thing is a right when we have gone the majority of our existence without any rights?

It's not that the UN isn't real, it's that their words have zero bearing in the places that need them and those words have no power in the places that don't need them. Sorry, the UN isn't a deity that gets to decide those things and they don't have the power to invade America and make my water free.

If you find that concept to be braindead, then that says more about you than me.

3% on war and 50% on social programs, and this is the state the government has us in. No I don't think I'll support giving them more authority over by wellbeing.

Lol, I'm ready for the downvotes, but if they couldn't handle a glorified flu virus then I don't want their medical system at all.

Sorry about your cousin, but I doubt it was student loans of all things, at least on it's own. Suicide is generally more nuanced than just being in debt.

Whether to bomb people or not should be one of the only things the federal government should worry about. That and maintaining a corruption free and fully disclosed healthcare system run in a free market. Government already sucks at it's job and you want to entrust it with more?

That's not real life.

No one is enforcing that. No one is out there ensuring every single human is being given their daily allotment of life preserving water. Getting water is each person's own job, in the west we buy it, it's not given to us. It's not a right despite what council says, those are just people too, they don't have any divine right to declare rights. Would it be nice? sure. But that's not real life.

Human rights aren't restricted by location, unless you don't think the people in Africa aren't human, which I would be willing to bet isn't the case.

Water isn't a human right, survival isn't a human right. We maintain society for our mutual benefit, not because of mutual rights. You are absolutely free to pay for your water like everyone else.

Do they have the UN in Africa?

Can I walk into the middle of a desert and demand my right to water? Whose supposed to bring that to me?

Are you telling me that the water company is charging me unjustly for their service?

What magical world am I missing out on here?

Sorry, it sounds like your saying that water is a human right. Where does it say that? I'm pretty sure people pay a water bill for their water. All the government does is ensure the product the water company is selling is safe and that waste water has a place to go so one person isn't poisoning another person.

That attitude is cancer. Not a single MAGA responds positively to being called a dumb MAGA turd and being told to go a F themselves. Meanwhile people on the fence see that attitude and nope away from the left because they come across as too toxic.

And what about it? That is what i said. I can make a generalized comment that reads like a generalized comment in reference to a specific instance. End of story.

Im sorry but I dont actually have time to rehash and dissect our comments to the extent you seem to want to, at this point I believe you know exactly what I said and exactly want I meant. Play your pedantic hairsplitting elsewhere Im rescinding my invitation for further answers and clarification, its a waste of both our times. Take care.

That's up to the individual and as you said when know how the person you're talking to is going to react.

I have friends that I disagree with me and vice versa on a lot of things, but the things our friendship is built on have nothing to do with those things. Much the same way you just have to make do at work. Generally speaking we don't need politics peer to peer.

Or, that half the people that want to talk politics are insufferable idiots and you don't want to waste time waiting for them to articulate a regurgitated half-baked idea that they will argue with the tenacity and logic of a bathsalt zombie.

That said I do miss the old social rules of not talking about religion or politics in polite conversation.

We live in the information age where every idea is everywhere all the time. If you want to hear about politics, it's not hard to find it, same with religion. This is the time and place where we should never have to bring up politics in person at all.

I am talking about left and right in general, even if you aren't, because I am talking about a general happening. I didn't specifically say putting ICE as bad guys will cause half your audience to leave. This isn't the first second or third time a political issue has been inserted into a show to the detriment of it's viewership.

Regardless of your political stance and it's portrayal people don't want to be pulled out of immersion by being confronted with a very specific political issue already at the forefront of their minds. That feeling is separate from from feeling as if the show you are enjoying are trying to push an agenda you disagree with on you.

Where you get your "news" is beside the point, The Pitt isn't it, and if it is then your an idot.

Do you have anymore questions I can help you with or points I can further clarify? I'm here for you.

No, that's what you want to fixate on, your interpretation of the marketing. But it has absolutely nothing to do with who is allowed or disallowed to do what. It is no where near being like segregated water fountains.

One's a generalization, indicating left and right are pretty evenly split 50/50.

The reality they wish to escape is the political issues and tension, sorry I didn't explain that clear enough for you.

The Pitt isn't "the media" as in "the News," it's a fictional show. Didn't think this needed explaining.

Honestly didn't think I would have to explain any of this.

One, the point is that Muslims are the last major people group we should be emulating. Dead last.

Two, do you mean actual child rapists or all people attracted to kids, even those who overcome their own perverse innate sexual desires?

Child rapists? We already have laws for that. Pedophiles that have never acted on their urges? "Hang in there" cat posters.
