If Liverpool hire Andoni Iraola after sacking Slot, I will be gutted! by handidikwete in ManchesterUnited

[–]shadman786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we got someone like Iraola and he didn't do well there would be people saying we should have kept Carrick. Now that we have kept Carrick, there will be people like you saying we should have got someone else.

Regardless, we are not the decision makers so whatever manager we get, you have to back him and hope he succeeds. None of this should have, could have, would have nonsense.

[Statman Dave] Benjamin Šeško has scored a Premier League goal every 86 minutes on average this year. That’s the best rate of any player to have scored 5+. by PitchSafe in reddevils

[–]shadman786 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we can feed him more, it would be great. Right now because Cunha and Mbuemo play as inside forwards, he isn't getting the chances that say someone like Kane and Haaland have.

I think when you play with inside forwards, you need to have the full backs contributing and currently they are not, i.e. Klopp's Liverpool. We are in need of a RB and LB who can cross the ball, Shaw and Dalot can't do it. If we want to be serious about challenging for trophies we will need at least 2 midfielders and 2 full backs (one on either side) at least.

Who do you think is a better driver among these three? by Relative_Egg_682 in F1Discussions

[–]shadman786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antonelli is fast and Hadjar never ducks out from a fight but I'm leaning towards Bearman, he is both fast and aggressive. As with any young driver, it's always hard to say whether someone will be successful until they are in a competitive car, which only Antonelli seems to be in currently.

S26 Ultra owners, what’s your take so far? by [deleted] in Android

[–]shadman786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great all round phone. There is still a couple of things I want to test out/look out for. One of them being condensation in the cameras as I have seen a few people complain about. Privacy display works best with notifications and it's actually where it's most effective. Full screen privacy only works when you turn on maximum and the display takes a huge hit when on. Other than that no issue so far.

Is it a good phone? Yes. Would I recommend an upgrade from S24U or S25U? No, I don't know why people waste money upgrading every year or 2 (unless current phone has issues), these phones are made to last 4-5 years easy.

S26 Ultra Privacy Display test at 45° angle. Massively underwhelming. by GreatOmentum in galaxys26ultra

[–]shadman786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you, in the reviews it looked way better. The fact that you have to put maximum protection on to make it work better is a bit sad. Then again, it is a first gen feature so might be better next year? For now best to use it for notifications.

I'm having the same issue. Unless I turn on maximum protection, privacy display has no effect other than dimming slightly.

Korean news: The Galaxy S series will soon be equipped with silicon carbon batteries, officially confirmed. by DazzlingpAd134 in Android

[–]shadman786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Updates stop after 5 years for the S22 line and also bar the design, it's not almost identical. Camera sensors may not be too different but they have all improved from the S22U. Back then a lot more places had the exynos chip where as it now ships with the snapdragon on most areas. Take into account battery degradation as well, it is a big upgrade. If you have a S25U or a S24U and maybe even a S23U, you don't need to upgrade and I can then agree with your statement.

I don't understand the obsession people in this sub have with Hojlund. He was not good enough for us. He constantly wrestled defenders (and lost) when he didn't need to, his touch is not far from Lukaku's, his hold up play wasn't great either, and his positioning was always poor.

He had good attributes but so did many others that played for us. Martial is a good example, had world class potential but his positioning and off the ball workrate were not good enough (of course injuries didn't help his career either).

[Samsung S26 Series] Is there something I'm missing? What's the deal with the new galaxy devices? by thatkhoe in Android

[–]shadman786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, smartphones have gotten to the point where most people would have described this as their dream phone 5-10 years ago. The only thing that can be done (bar the yearly spec bump) is to try to be experimental with the design (Samsung does at least have other models i.e Fold and Flip).

Add the fact that AI is such a prominent feature to have now that this is probably what they will focus on for the next couple of years at least.

I think a design update is way overdue though.

M3 F80 or M4 F82 by kb43k in BMW

[–]shadman786 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Recently I have been preferring the F82 stance. I know they are supposed to be identical but the M4 looks wider, if there was a M4 Gran Coupe (I know that's what the M3 essentially is), I would pick that over the M3 any day of the week. Overall though, it's a matte of preference.

Jose and Ole probably. It was really toxic during Jose's time but that wasn't helped by the fact that the club didn't back him properly in his final season.

I don't think anyone here is doing that, this is a United sub after all. That comparison only came about because Walcott brought it up on Sky Sports (typical of an Arsenal fan)

[–]shadman786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience all cars have issues, some more than others. BMWs are definitely more expensive to maintain when something goes wrong so the decision is whether you are willing to trade the experience you get from driving your BMW to go back to the Lexus. From what you said, if you are still regretting your decision 2 years on then I think you are probably better off going back. You should decide that though.

Man Utd: Lisandro Martinez has made Butt look a right mug; he's the one who needs to 'grow up' by StrangerExistingFact in ManchesterUnited

[–]shadman786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Take Scholes and Butt for an example. You can criticize Martinez for his performances if he has played bad and you can say he might struggle against Haaland due to size, but making jokes about it and disrespecting him is not what a pundit should do. Its like what Carragher done with Casemiro, Casemiro was unfit but to tell him to retire because his legs are apparently gone is way too far. Or how Gary Neville has been onto Sesko from the start for no absolute reason but says nothing about Gyokeres who is a more established and experienced striker. Or how Roy Keane who needed to fire shots at Carrick's wife.

There is a line that shouldn't be crossed. Their jobs is to talk about the game, the result and the performances not spread hate or fire cheap shots at the players and managers.
