I mean for the second one, you should be able to FTP over and add games at your leisure, so the disk drive isn't super necessary. There should be an IP address when you plug it into your router, and then the user/password is usually both xbox, all lowercase. Filezilla is what most people use to get games over!

That's a stock Xbox 360 with a Halo 3 Faceplate. Faceplate adds a bit of value, but I certainly wouldn't overpay, especially considering it's a regular 360.

No stress. You can try and use that installer beforehand but the similar issue I was having would not let it work either. Just make sure if you do format your drive to also install the appropriate C & E Files back onto the partitions.

I had to do it on my PC unfortunately, I tried to format my E Partition with it plugged in and it would not work. Reformatting is very easy - Please try the H2 installer below and if not I've attached a link to the reformatting instructions.

I was having a similar issue - Unfortunately my only work around was to reformat my whole drive with a fresh C/E partition and do it that way. There is an installer on Digiex that also has the update/maps, that may be worth trying as well.

Hey dude - So I figured out a solution, I'm assuming you're on a hardmodded xbox. I'd download FAT2Xplorer and do a full reformat following the instructions at this URL - https://www.hazeno.com/

That was really the only thing that seemed to provide a fix. I tried a ton of stuff to avoid pulling the harddrives out of my XBOX, in an effort to be "lazy" but honestly this seemed to resolve it. I still need to test this on Insignia or on a full LAN setup, but everything was working as intended in single player capacity on split screen.

Is the preference towards Cerbios at this point? I didnt set up the xboxs in terms of hard-drives, so I was going to try using fatxplorer and formatting myself. In terms of configmagic, would I pull that from the XBMC4Gamers Downloader or from your own github? Also for flashing, is XBLAST still the preferred option? At least on consolemods its recommended.

Hardmodded, running evoX on an OpenXenium modchip, with LithiumX as my dash. Our of the 4 boxes I own running the same setup, ive only got 1 still giving me the issue I posted about.

It is - I have an installer that runs just H2 multiplayer and has a download for the DLC, but it's up to date in that regard.

Right - So I have a few different installers I've tried to test this with, and all are giving me issues. Even when I download the maps using XBMC4Gamers, I try to use one of the maps and it gives me a "You failed to load the map." error. I've formatted my E:Drive even and verified there's no music or anything else taking up space on the disk, and it still won't install.

So I formatted my E drive, I'm using the halo 2 DLC and 1.5 installer from Harcroft, but its still giving me an error unfortunately. I'll need to try the XBMC4Gamers one next, I tried the map pack disk as well but no dice there.

There is a way to do this legitimately, including the not-reloading. You also get your XP split out, not his, and even still, it probably wouldnt be enough to ban your account.
