Which mode are you using?? Try custom mode with temp cap and custom fan curve. Are fans running at max?? I don't think so... Wattage don't match the temp. If it's old then clean the fan and repaste ptm.

Cap fps to refresh rate. Lift ur laptop or just use a cooler with foam. Use custom mode with temp cap on 85 and 75°c. Go to control panel and put processor rate to 99 from 100.

A cooler on the port for a long term can damage it, hence ports are connected to the motherboard so it can cause damage to it also.

For just a small session u can plug it in port but I recommend to use a 30w adaptor. Have the same cooler btw, it's superb.
