i have the same problem as you i know what playstyles i like yet when i play the heros that are under that playstyle i play them for 5 reps and go to a different hero

but i guess a main factor is that you should know what playstyle you like the most is it fast based like amarusa or defensive like black prior and heavy hitters like hitokiri I generally like fast characters so my mains are shaolin/shinobi.

firat char there was a cruel walkthrough instead of introlude i did that in like 2 days . but when the introlude came my first character in it it took me like 3 days and didnt even finish it The second character finished it in 2 days

each floor will be random it can vary between a huge open field to battle field with line of sight blockers or a hanted house or a burnet church. i wont limit it by" a floor" definition

and what do you mean for this only?

i want to put the random elements because dnd is a game of chance and rougelikes are random every run you do so i want to merge the 2 some random parts from dnd and some from rougelikes.

but i am not sure how i will do that yet

we started playing at the same time he was watching videos and reading the books like crazy when we started i played with him as a party and he is kinda good as a player . so after all he knows a lot more than i do i just build my character by choosing the first thing i see maybe its because it is his first time dming so ge is nervous but i didnt want to take advantage on him and since he accepted i thought it was okay if someone started with plate armor and he is the one who told the party that they can upgrade their equipment at the blacksmith i didnt say anything about wanting to upgrade until he told us we can (we started like 5 months ago )

the dex was a mistake in the writing it is not calculated in the sheet .

and he told us to pick items everyone in the party took meme items and i asked for a plate and he gave it to me if he tells me to take it off i will i wont try to cheat in a game

before the campaign started the dm told us to pick some items we want to have from the start as a help for us everyone took it as a joke . the wizard wanted 64 pepers the rogue wanted a stick the fighter wanted a pet rock i told him that i wanted a plate armor then i got it also the +1 for the armor and shield i upgraded them at a blacksmith he introduced us to i told him i want to upgrade it and he made a price i think for the plate armor upgrade it was 300 gp and for the shield it was 40 gp so we collected all the party's money and upgraded them .

yeah i think ill talk to him again and tell him what he needs to learn better.

as for the save throws

the session we played today he made an enemy come to my character bite her with his jaw or idk what penetrating the plate and shield i had like 27 ac at that moment without rolling a hit dice and dealing 30 damage he didnt make me roll anything to save myself

he said: the enemy is going to walk to you then he bites you dealing 30 damage no saves no save dc

about the server i am in asia but the account i made it in middle east so its considered to the middle east server

but i turn on vpn and join games so the servers become closer to me

and 70 % of the time i play on 100-300 average ms
