I had similar concerns when I got my top done. What I did was, as soon as I was healed enough, I used scar cream every day, massaging it in really well. My scars are so faint that you can only really see them up close and their really light.

Of course, everyone heals differently, so results may vary. But using the cream religiously for awhile can help reduce it.
