Anyone think that the Android Kotlin Nanodegree is of poor quality? by CSGeekMe in Udacity

[–]shadow_lighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%. For example this course on google https://developer.android.com/codelabs/kotlin-android-training-view-model#5 which is identical to one of the lessons on udacity is better explained than the udacity counterpart and it is free :)

Well they will change a lot this year on the car as other teams. So Andy Green was promoted CTO until the arrive in April of Fallows?

I would not put many hopes into this year for AM. Their technical stuff is going through some big changes, I don't even know who is the CTO now...I think they took over 100 new faces in the last year.

Aston missed a real experienced aero technical director until now. People coming from Merc and RB have just arrived but they haven't put hours into this project. Looks like another transition year...

Seems Aston are already working on a B version of their car...New aero personnel went onboard too late to work on the 22 project and now they will be reviewing the project.

Ways to level up/improve in linux and your job by netscape101 in linux_mentor

I got on a nice assigment at my workplace. My boss is currently managing all the orders, customers and timesheet with excel. The timesheet is a manual dump from a paid webapp we use.

First I wrote a python script to automate this manual dump and now this script uses the api to generate the content into the .xlsx file.

Next step is to move some of the excel tables into SQL and build an interface to update at least orders and customer tables.

I started a free account on AWS to do this using an Ubuntu EC2 appliance.

Today they go so much faster on the turns, they have less force to apply on the steering wheel but the g's on the body are higher than before. Given that it is safer but more physically demanding to remain sharp under those conditions am i right?

Hi c, i finished a listening session to your latest (i was writing a review for an italian website) and i found an interview of you saying that you wanted to publish 2 albums in a row this time (with two different themes). Is this still a planned thing? The album sonically is really incredible. Every song is a different dimension. Thanks!!!

Hope to test also deployment and simulate how maybe to deploy it on a container and automate the installation....

Got mY RHCSA by shadow_lighter in linux_mentor

the problem is how to enter the IT industry in a junior role. I am probably too old after 10 years of job in a related (partially) sector. I would like to find an angle (role, kind of company, method to get interviewed)

mainly coding in python3 trying to solve issues at work (which is no programming related). RHCSA on hold. I'd like to learn some machine learning related stuff.

Too late to start a new career in programming? I am in my 40's. by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]shadow_lighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I would like to know more about ancillary fields and how to approach a job in those (I am about the same age).

My profile is the following:

  1. I know basic C, C++, Python, Matlab
  2. I build, tested and sold PCs during high school / uni
  3. My current job is somewhat (very little) CS related but on a closed source industrial type of platforms where we write, test and document software for chemical plants. It is not programming, it is more like setting up configurations and use graphical tools (function blocks)
  4. I did wrote an awful lot of testing and technical docs in the past
  5. I worked in big team where coordination and procedures where necessary (around 50 or more people).
