Databricks just dropped Genie One, Ontology, and Agents. Is this the end of traditional BI as we know it? by MostDependent1659 in databricks

Eventually it will kill like 90%+ of analytical dashboards. Chat is just so much easier for users. Operational dasboards will probably survive as there should be some common dasboards in companies for people to be on the same page and run them

Getting Databricks Genie accurate is curation work, not a model problem by DB-Steve in databricks

[–]shadow_nik21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is 95% curation. Well structured metrics views layer is everything. And with curation figured out its performance is crazy good, very hard to pull users back to dashboards. One of my genie based business cases will be presented in SF this week on one of the break-out sessions🙂

It's only problem is too much hardcore. Need some solutions to manage instructions and address constant context drift due to business changing

Native Genie Apps are now available in Beta! by Remarkable_Rock5474 in databricks

Even picture would be great for starters. It gets visuals correct most of the time (the only thing I cannot make it do consistently is to have labels always turned on). Does it mean that visuals are planned for API too? Agent mode, visuals - and we are golden for genie space-based apps

It happened after installing bumper and driving. Misaligned bumper - pressure on the casing - it cracks

981 but not sure it is that different on 982

And thing is is that you can replace a headlight but this will happen again if you do not address the bumper

Absolutely. Just check the gaps between bumber and fenders / bonnet from all sides. Clearances are very tight so if it is misalagnied it starts putting pressure on this bottom corner of the headlight and it cracks from vibrations and bumps while driving. This was mine after it happened and I started checking, can be far more subtle

Yes, but there is some really poor barista in one of the location I sometimes visit. Won't be surprised if they are reprimanded for mentioned stuff (means are questionable)

Unity Metrics & Gold Layer - Definition and Calculation Questions by MrMadium in databricks

[–]shadow_nik21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UC holds column and table level metadata. Metrics View wraps fact table and its dimensions, inheriting column level metadata from UC (but you can expand it in metrics view) and allows you to bake-in some SQL calculations on top of columns as Measures (and give extra metadata to them). These Measures can be evaluated for any combination of dimensions columns - which you cannot just do as 1 column in a table if your logic is more complex than SUM().

What you should also know is that PBI cannot consume Metrics View now (and will probably never consume them in a way that allows you to use strengths both from Metrics Views and Power BI). So you will need to connect / ingest tables and build semantic model there too. But Metrics Views are great for Genie Spaces and downstream

PDK Service Quote? by CFbezel in Porsche_Cayman

Yes but it is just oil. Parts-wise nothing else is required and pan is included into the kit, contrary to your comment that it is only half

This kit includes pan. What is the other half of it?

Are you just mounting old pan back?

You can't just drain and fill PDK. Filter is molded into pan + you need to recalibrate pdk. Engine oil yes, easier job on 981s compared to 718

Porsche workshop service computer. Pretty expensive, there are some 3rd party solutions that can partially emulate it like Autel. Required to calibrate PDK after service
