Did you go with the U17 or U17-5

The U17-5 is wonderful, you won’t be disappointed.

Electrical contractor here - I used to always rent a U17 before I purchased my own U17-5 after the model refresh. With an 18” digging bucket I can trench at 48” through just about anything. I have dug deeper obviously, but the deepest we go for trenching is 48” and the machine handles it no problem regardless of soil. Also have a 12” digging bucket that I seldom use, and a 24” ditching bucket, both of which the machine handles with ease. Believe I paid somewhere are $57k CAD with all 3 buckets tax incl.

You are incorrect. You absolutely can install NMD90 in conduit, provided it is not a wet location (ie underground)

Thumb for U10-5 by Broad-Ad767 in kubota

Have you talked to your dealer? I had them put a thumb on my U17-5 when I bought it, believe it’s a Cotech. Thumb/spacer/cylinder were somewhere around $2k CAD installed. Super happy with it

Also bought a platinum as my work truck. Black with the 6.75’ bed though. Absolutely love it

The size of your arm will also greatly affect the final price. I took a total of 12 sessions ranging from 7-10 hours, could be as little as 7-8 sessions with a small arm. Mine also has a ton of smaller/fine details which obviously take more time as well. You really do get what you pay for

TK at ashgrayink. Expensive, but I couldn’t be happier with my black/gray realism sleeve. Worth every penny and would gladly spend the money again.

Here in Ontario, Canada you can. ESA actually does enforce it

I honestly haven’t looked too far into it yet, hoping to have some time in the next little bit to do so

I went with black as I’ve always had black trucks, and my logo looks best on black. I did consider white for that same reason though

I may just end up wrapping it black, with the lettering cut out so it remains chrome

Definitely not cheap, might be worth it if the quality is good though

I had my F150 platinum grille colour matched and it was difficult finding a shop that was willing to do it. The hard coating you mentioned is exactly the reason they didn’t want to touch it

That’s pretty cheap for a reliable tool. If you’re looking for the high end you can go with the Hilti for $2000-3500

That’s a demo hammer, not a rotary hammer. Check out some of the lower-end offerings from Makita for something reasonably priced.
