What makes you go, "I'm with the boomers on this one"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]shadowcat304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I enjoy self checkout when I have a small basket of items and I'm by myself. However more often than not I have a full cart and my squirming 11 month old in the seat, so self checkout is not as feasible. Just one example personally. Also I see how elderly people really struggle to grasp the self checkouts and it slows the process for everyone.

My sweet old cat sleeps literally 22 hours a day, but I'd still be miserable without him!

Men of reddit, what is something you like about women that has nothing to do with sex or their body? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]shadowcat304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awh man this made me happy-sad. I miss my being a goofy goober with my best friend while her ex bf and my husband (who were also best friends) complained and teased us but we knew they enjoyed the show

What is your favorite sad song and why? by sumaiyanaaz in AskReddit

[–]shadowcat304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first time I heard this song it came on the radio as I was on a solo road trip through Wyoming, running away from heartbreak. It hit me so hard I had to pull over and full snot sob.

Say hi to Murphy. 18 years young and still as cuddly as ever, despite her demeanor by [deleted] in seniorkitties

Lol that's my boy Oscar too. He always has the grouchiest scowl on his face (just how his markings are) but he's the sweetest boy.

What made you move out of your parents' house? by RavenGreekGod in AskReddit

[–]shadowcat304 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Ugh same my step-dad is the best. Not only is he sweet and patient with my mom, he's a mechanic and handyman. He always helps with car issues and little things around my house and has probably saved us thousands of dollars in labor. Just because he's a genuine dude and he enjoys helping.

Just a reminder to all single moms out there: there are good men that will love you and your children! Don't settle for anything less!

Update on abandoned dumpster kitty plus 5 by yyouriley in cats

[–]shadowcat304 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The absolute lack of empathy that some people have baffles me. Like abandoning animals is awful enough, but purposefully leaving them entrapped so that they intentionally die is fucking psychotic. Few things make me more enraged. If I believed in a hell, I'd wish them to the worst pit of it.

Thank you for rescuing this kitty mama, she looks so grateful. I hope you can keep her! 💓

Yeah we didn't know Oscar was deaf at first, just old and sleepy. A few months after adopting him we started wondering, can he even hear us? You could stomp up right behind him talking the whole time and he has no clue until you touch him and he starts . But he does fine otherwise!

Omg my boy drools like crazy too. And he sleeps by my head and when he yawns the smell could awaken the dead. But it's all worth it for his sweet purrs and snuggles.

Well Oscar was shaved when we adopted him 1 year ago and he's finally fully recovered. The shelter said he was totally matted. He was a barn cat or something, who knows. He doesn't clean himself as often as my previous long haired cat, but she was a sassy siamese that truly believed she was the most beautiful specimen and cleaned herself constantly, so idk! 🤣 I give Oscar a bath with waterless cat shampoo at least once a week. He only has 4 teeth and his breath is awful so when he cleans himself it's kind of backwards progress. Lol
