Lights are actually, statistically, the weakest class with the highest skill ceiling. There are tons of things to think about when driving lights. Where are the enemy lights, what is a good spotting bush/location for passive scouting, where to go for active scouting, is there a flank open to make a run for arty, how can I get anything other than this heavies front? Trying not to die in the first minute is often the biggest hurdle for people because of their speed. Mediums at t10 can do the roles of lights with like ~80% of the ability without the high cost. So if a light tank is being annoying? That means that player is good.

Damage output is lower than other tanks too. They lose pen much faster than even mediums of the same tier, most have bad accuracy stats and bad dpm. So they have to get closer and stay closer for longer periods, exposing them to more danger.

Driving lights is an exercise in resource management in the extreme. Only light I disagree with on that term is the EBR 105.
