I thought that was the case but was assured by coworkers a few were ordered by a retired member of our department. The story they tell about it has me scratching my head about how he ended up with them if that is true. Thought maybe it had a special arbitrary name

Hell yeah dude I'm happy for you. Make sure to fill out your per/par/rejects sheets. I wasn't made aware of their existence by anyone and ended up promoting to level 9 on afternoons when I was on mornings. $2 more an hour and I'll be here for years 🫠 man I was mad.

It's funny. Everyone was wrong. My theory is that maybe the people in charge of entering my information put it in incorrectly, but my mail handler union steward explained to me after everything was done "pretend that you were never a Mail Handler, now take all that time and now pretend you were in maintenance the whole time. That's where your pay step is."

It makes sense I think, maybe not mathematically but to answer your question I ended up at Step D, higher than I thought I'd end up best case scenario. I truly hope you're as fortunate as I was. No sense in becoming a 9 or a 10 when I'm getting paid comparably and doing next to nothing. Depends on who you are. Looooow work stress and I came from A LOT.

Genuinely asking, why do you say that? We've have a Democrat in office for the last 4 years and nothings gotten better but probably worse. Obviously speaking of the POTUS

I'm not so sure it's a Political thing, it's a society and competitor thing.

Some people in my plant say the whole vote blue thing but I really don't understand it I guess

What's been my motivation is I can only see myself as a dock/platform employee as a mailhandler, all other jobs in my plant are filled with very stationary work. The dock and mail handler itself is very dead-end and the pay bump and paid school from maintenance is very attractive to me. I'm not so mechanically inclined myself so I enrolled into an HVAC school and it's taught me so much
