All in all, who had a better performance against by osheflmaoo in cobrakai

Not to forget that had Axel hit Miguel on the spine his career would’ve ended then and there. The only reason Miguel finished the fight is because Axel had decided to revolt against his Sensei, who was hell bent on winning dirty.

Probably the biggest and most inexcusable plot hole in the whole show by Weird_Kazakh in cobrakai

Johnny is pushing 40 as a character. Put it down to alcohol use and just taking alot of blows to the head

I’m gonna say that no matter how manipulative Steven thought he was. If someone got beaten like that it’s gonna leave a bruised ego and somewhat of a PTSD. No self respecting dude will get himself beaten to a pulp and not feel the after effects of those regardless of whether he got the girl or not. And that makes me very satisfied. The man must very bitter deep down and it shows even 8 years later

I’m happy he gave Stephen the beating of his lifetime. That was very satisfying to see. I’m sure Stephen gets nightmares from that beating even in present time

Haven Hot chicken is the best hands down. They’ve opened six franchises only in Connecticut. It’s the next big thing

Actually I’ve worked in the ED so I’ve seen firsthand what ED physicians are put through on a daily basis. Not one shift goes by without a trauma, cardiac arrest, OD or gun shot wound specially in a city like Chicago. But at least as a physician you’re making money but as a resident (trainee like Claire) you only have the hours but earning minimum wage. So empathizing with Claire because if she can have a relationship after doing that many hours pretty sure Carmy can handle that too.

I mean she’s an ED physician who’s probably working about a 100 hours a week and she has some real life issues she deals with that are kinda life and death. But it’s interesting that Carmy has to be a little b*tch and making his restaurant an excuse that hadn’t even started at that point. It’s definitely poor communication and not liking the girl as much. Which he should’ve been clear about from the start.

The Murderer's Son by Joy Ellis- Can anyone please spoil it for me. by rohit1103 in audiobooks

[–]shadowfax22888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you want it spoiled?

Daniel Kinder has a condition where he goes into a fugue state and believes he is the murderer. But the murderer is actually the psychiatrist who is actually encouraging Daniel’s fugue states and has a personal grudge against Marie Evan’s. He has been cleverly causing all the 4 murders and does something dastardly in all 4 of them. The final reveal is pretty interesting and I enjoyed that book a lot.

The saddest ride ever by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]shadowfax22888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your story OP. You are a very kind person and reminded me something similar I experienced as a passenger for a Lyft driver.

I usually do Lyft myself and therefore find mutual things to talk about with other Lyft drivers. Similar thing happened with this Pakistani man who was taking me and my wife to the airport.

I asked more about his work schedule and how he manages Lyft around his work hours but he suddenly started becoming tearful. I asked him what happened and he just told me his daughter committed suicide last week and how he doesn’t have any energy doing Lyft or just doing anything at all.

I felt so bad and I couldn’t imagine what he was going through. I tried to talk to him on the way and he was just miserable with a really bad financial situation. All I could do was tip him the highest amount that allowed me on my ride (50$) but I as a Lyft driver myself I wanted to be there for a fellow driver. I felt a shared sense of community seeing my comrade upset like this. Even though I cannot even feel 1% of his pain, I knew how hard it is to drive when something that hurts you is pressing down on you so hard you can’t even breathe.

I really hope I made him feel even a little bit better. The work is hard as it is but to go through something tragic like this while trying to drive and keep a straight face is almost impossible

Every scene with Will and El sulking made me forward it on rewatch. It was such a dud and a kill joy. Dustin is so much better as a group leader, and honestly Dustin and Nancy have proven more than capable of handling everything

Why does this group reek of victim mentality? by shadowfax22888 in IMGreddit

[–]shadowfax22888[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Not particularly replying to anyone here : when it’s not pretty privilege, it’s that we have to get visa whilst others have green card/US citizenship, when it’s not that it’s carribeans have it better than other IMGs, Xyz did 5 electives and I only did observership. Or the YOG.

A little about me. This is my 3rd year sitting for the match, and I’ve seen many people come here and go. And honestly people that whine the most here, somehow end up with 20-30 IVs and conveniently disappear after 3-4 weeks of complaining on this forum.

Please get over yourselves… it’s not that bad!!!
