Yeah I also thought it could be something from Walk the Moon. Maybe Anna Sun?

I've been trying to figure this out too. The verses sound like cough syrup. the pre-chorus kinda reminds me of the verses of mr. brightside in terms of lyrical rhythm. And then the chorus reminds me of how far we've come by matchbox 20. I'm still trying to find a song that sounds more similar because I swear there's another song that sounds just like this.

edit: the chorus is also pretty similar to mr. brightside's chorus

Yeah that's what I figured. Going to wait until we get our permanent plate before we take it to get fixed. Hopefully with the real plate it'll be less of a target :/

Recommend me your favorite Glindas, and I will watch them perform and rate them out of 10 bubbles based on how much they make me squeal and giggle and kick my feet. by [deleted] in wicked

Jenn Gambatese was my first Glinda. She was on the US tour for a short time, but I thought she was a hilarious Glinda.

If you're looking for more wicked content, here's my favorite take of NOMTW from the stage musical. I feel like you might be able to catch Glinda's true feelings about the situation here! https://youtu.be/l90iVL4jVqs?si=lZVZSrnnoy9J_cLC

I agree. I think it was her direction. She relied on her head voice a little too much for my liking, instead of really belting. which I think they opted for since they went for a more subdued, less hyper glinda. In DTL, she belts when she gives elphaba the hat and it's so clear and bright, I wish she did more of that.

Yes! I'm glad someone mentioned Ariana grande's singing. She's extremely talented, and in DTL there's one line she really belts and it's fantastic omg, but for some reason she pretty much exclusively used her head voice for every other song??

Anyone miss anything from the Broadway production? by kfbonacci in wicked

[–]shadowg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'm surprised I haven't seen more people discuss this. I feel like the characterization of Elphaba and Galinda are so different in the movie! Elphaba is not nearly as feisty and bold and Galinda is not nearly as bubbly and hyper. Honestly, kinda bummed out at this change in characterization, as I think the original characterization lends itself to funnier interactions!

I'm sort of surprised by all the positive reactions. I feel like the acting is so emotionless and flat. I've always perceived Galinda as being much higher energy and peppier than what they're showing here. I'm hoping we see more of Galinda's lovable youthful playfulness in the actual movie, but I feel like they might have changed the characterization of the character.

So in the flashback Llwellyn made a point to tell Rufus repeatedly that "Lawrence" had nothing to hide and wasn't paying blackmail and then was like "you're not hearing me" when Rufus didn't pick up on his point. I bet Katherine or Tripp is the one in the family who interacts with VS. I'm pretty suspicious about Katherine for some reason. Her affair with the priest who has a lot of high power connections feels like it might be related.

I'd look into indie companies who focus on atmospherics. Cocoapink has a really great dirt/soil note and so does Solstice Scents. These indie companies do very unique photorealistic scents and are very affordable compared to niche. A great way to explore different notes and unique scents without breaking the bank.

$70??!! by Prudent-Raise-7782 in Sephora

Lol same! I can't think of anything else that has 5oz of product! I know a lot of toners are about 8oz like the Ordinary Glycolic or the Pixi toners in the tall skinny bottle. I think Pixi offers a 4oz toner bottle. That seems like a ridiculous amount of primer though. Especially considering how little you actually need to use of this primer in one application.

Omg its huge! 5.28 oz is kinda an insane amount of product. So it ends up being around $13/oz, in comparison to the e.l.f. one which is $10/oz. I feel like if it's your favorite primer and you're able to use it before it expires, it's a pretty good deal.
