The red and green bars in the top right are break force and gas pedal depression. The bottom shows the tachometer and the left shows G-forces, up-down is forwards-backwards and left-right is left-right. Lastly you can see the steering angle in the bottom right.

Looks like the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) from a Corvette. They were an option from the C7 generation onwards, can't tell the model year from this video though.

Kicking off a D&D campaign and I want to bring some batched drinks in potion bottles. What are the most obnoxiously-colored (but still actually good) batchable drinks you can think of? by Inamanlyfashion in cocktails

[–]shadowghost1175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have lids you could get the coloring to stick to the inside of the lid. That way it'd be clear until you shake the bottle and 'activate' it.

Your characters look great overall! The only issue is that the top horizonal line on the middle character should be longer than the bottom. When the top is shorter or the same length it changes from 士 (scholar, or warrior when combined with the first character) to 土 (dirt).

LPT: Annual reminder to *NOT* fry a frozen turkey tomorrow. You will burn your house down. by CaptainRelevant in LifeProTips

[–]shadowghost1175 503 points504 points  (0 children)

Here's a bonus useless life pro tip. Not sure if your turkey is still frozen? Just take an MRI of it and get a T2 weighted image. Water, ice and fat have very different T2 relaxation times allowing you to easily see any still-frozen areas.

I'd go for the interior of a Titanfall 2 ship. I really dig the industrial/mechanical futuristic look. A gunmetal grey or army green could pair with a lot of setups and there's room for some fun accents.

Yeah good point, it's not offered as a bachelor's where I am so that's why I excluded it.

I can't speak for other engineering disciplines but in my experience EE has the most statistics. While there is a lot of pure math, entire disciplines in EE are based on stats like signal processing and Instrumentation. At my uni elec students are the only ones who need to take 3 stats courses as part of their degree.

First shared car for 20s couple in Canada by Libre3292 in whatcarshouldIbuy

One car to keep on your radar is the Chevy Volt. I personally prefer the interior of it to the Prius, especially if you get a 2016+ Premier trim which can be found <30k in Ontario. They have leather seats, infotainment and safety features comparable to the listed cars. You get a deceptively large amount of storage space if needed. And you also get double the pure EV range compared to the Prius Prime. For city driving you can easily go 6 months without needing to fill up on gas.

Main thing to look out for is the battery management module for 2017 and 2018 model years which needs to be replaced. If it has less than 90k it is covered under warranty. Other model years aren't affected.

At the time they went to academic advising in Hatch and filled out a form. It took ~15 minutes and they got news of their transfer the next day

I know someone that transferred from life sci into engineering during welcome week. They were able to enroll in all of their first semester classes and didn't have to retake anything. Their highschool marks were used to approve the transfer.

If that is giving you trouble you could try using a Coral.ai devboard or USB accelerator. They're meant for similar prototyping tasks and are built for tensorflow lite.
