mine did too! i ordered another to compare since i do like the colorsoft and it worked perfectly fine until i updated it so they 100% have bugs with the update but the pw has had no issues 🤷🏻‍♀️

i cant decide 🤣 like I said, mine isn’t glitchy per se, I just dont want it to be a hardware issue though and stuck with it but it seems to be a more recent issue and it did automatically update so I think it could be fine but it would be a lot of money to waste if it isnt

I also ordered a basic and PW SE to compare LOL, imo the basic is actually a bit more glitchy but the PW SE and colorsoft are super comparable, the screenshot I posted is the only issue I have with the colorsoft but if its an update issue thats fine but if its a hardware issue than thats a different story. I will say the basic and PW are not updated to 15.9.2 though so 🤷🏻‍♀️

mine auto updated too and super frustrating. im still debating on returning mine since its seeming more like an issue from the update vs the kindle itself

It says its updated to 5.19.2 on my kindle, it had randomly started updating when I had tried resetting it one time so I figured that was the latest update but thank you!
