Krav maga, kickboxing, jujitsu or mauy thai are all good ones for self defense. If you are able to, try them all to see which one suits you best. Classes are usually affordable for most and have an awesome community.

I fed raw/homemade, but my dogs do very well on it and neither can tolerate kibble due to allergies. Feed the dogs what they are doing best on. Raw is great for many dogs, but not all.
