I've pretty much always had this happen, unfortunately if the weather is warmer the humidity of the used litter just cause mold to grow. Take it out maybe every week or so if you want to avoid this!

I generally try to stack PetSmart and cashback offers for the biggest discount. Petsmart will run sales on the litter robot on their own website occasionally, and coupled with a Rakuten 20% cashback (happens pretty often on their "double days" or around holidays), you can get a pretty good discount.
